That's the beautiful thing about creators of fiction. They're the best liars in the entire world.

Besides, iirc, they've already lied to fans. Before Arkham City dropped, they said that Joker's illness wasn't the result of overusing Titan.

Absolutely can't wait. It's nice to see Rocksteady back at the helm. I enjoyed Origins, but not nearly as much as City. There were quite a few glitches, and some of the areas were poorly designed IMO. I still enjoyed it, but for me, it didn't have the same magic as Asylum or City.

Can't wait for this to drop.

They have said they were leaving him out of every single game and then surprise there he is as THE villain. They couldn't try for much of a twist if they said he was in the game. It's comic book based and Batman comic book based at that; NOONE ever stays dead. Especially at the beginning or end of a cycle like this.

I don't think the Joker will be the Arkham Knight, he will be the drive behind the Arkham Knight.

I don't remember them ever saying Joker wouldn't be in either Asylum or City. He was on the cover of GI for Asylum and they stated he was dying in the previews for City. They didn't say he wouldn't be in Arkham Origins, but they did make that one out that it would be Black Mask as the main villain, so I'll give you that one.

But I don't think they'll retcon the Joker ending here. If he does make and appearance here, I would guess it would be during a Scarecrow induced scenario where Batman is haunted by what happened or whatever.

Don't forget the fact that Rocksteady didn't make Origins so they had nothing to do with the promotion or previewing of that game.

I have never played a Batman game, but my friend showed me a video of this game and it's graphics are insane. Going to have to at least try this title out.

Do I think the Joker will appear, no. However if he does it wouldn't surprise me especially with something called the lazarus pit being a thing.

Well it was suggested that the one that was destroyed in Arkham City was the only one. Also, does that thing work on ashes? That's actually a serious question.

Secondly, if anyone comes back due to the pit, I'd guess it would be Ra's. Unlike the Joker, his corpse did disappear.

                        Rocksteady got me like....

I thought I was suffering from Batman and superhero fatigue overall but after reading more and watching more about this game, my hype levels are off the charts. It's easily in my top 5 most anticipated now and near the top. Can't frickin wait.

Also, anyone else think there will be something in this to set up a Justice League spin off? I think we'll see cameos from Superman and or Wonder Woman at least....

                          Re: Batman: Arkham Knight

According to the Gaminformer article it looks like fear takedowns are a way to stealthily take out up to 3 enemies at once.

The example used in the article has Batman jumping out from one of the grates in the ground. Takes out the nearrest enemy then time slows down and player pans the camera to the next nearest enemy. Once he locks on to an enemy the player presses a button and Batman dashes forward taking down that enemy as well.

Seems a lot like the mark and execute tactic in the new Splinter Cell's but instead of it being a mini cutscene we actively have to guide Batman ourselves. Be interesting to see these in action.

                          Edit:

The throwing feature from Asylum is back! I'm happy about that I missed it especially against big crowds of enemies it was very effective. Also the Batmobile is going to be awesome it's got rocket boosters and it tears through enemy cars like nothing. It seems like we gonna get to feel as bad *** as Nolan's Batman in that thing.

We can create ziplines while gliding now.. wow! Quickfire weapons can be used while gliding too. Rocksteady is going all out for this one.

We’ve got a look at how some familiar faces have changed since we last saw them in Arkham City.

Not only will the Riddler get more actual screen time in Arkham Knight – emerging from the shadows to become a fully realized character – but he evolves over the course of the game as well. Rocksteady says the Riddler will unbutton his shirt, get covered in grime, and become visibly distressed as Batman continues to thwart his plans.
I can't wait to beat the **** out of Riddler...those riddler trophies where a pain to collect.....
