XBOX vs. PS2 for sports games????
I was wondering if anyone could give me some much needed advice. I have always been a PS2 owner and outside of Grand Theft Auto or various shooters, I always by sports games (mostly EA Sports.) I have recently begun to ponder buying an XBOX due to its incredible load times and automatic memory. Coud someone give me advice on whether they think the XBOX is worth it? I do love the controller of the PS3 having L1,L2 and R1,R2 both at the top. I cannot imagine playing a game such as Madden or NCAA Football w/o both sets of buttons at the top and I know XBOX only has one L and R button. Any help would be great. Thank you very much.Tags: None -

Do you play games online? Unless you need to play EA games online, Xbox is better for sports games. Better graphics, better loadtimes, no need for memory cards. Plus Xbox Live if you play non EA games online.
As for the controller, I have no problem with the Xbox controller, but I know they do have adapters that let you use the PS2 controller on Xbox.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConn -

Ya, if you play EA games online then don't buy the Xbox. But if online is not an issue at all, the Xbox would be well worth it.Boston Red Sox l New England Patriots l Boston Celtics l Massachusetts Minutemen l Boston College EaglesComment

Re: XBOX vs. PS2 for sports games????
I bought my Xbox a couple of years ago and I had two concerns:
1. My main fear was that I would have to get used to a different controller. I mean the PS controller was ingrained in my mind. Believe me when I say that it will take time to get used to. Hitting the black button instead of R2 will be strange. After I decided to do it though, I would never go back. My PS2 gets very little play time now.
2. Second concern was whether I would have to relearn how to use my PS2 controller when I did play a PS2 game. Well, I'm happy to say that the PS2 controller was so ingrained I didn't have to think twice about where the circle or square button was.
IMO if you want to reap the benifits of faster loading times and better graphics (especially if you have a HDTV), go with the Xbox.Comment
