I hate to say this, but I never played Last of Us. I had to sell my PS3 right after the game came out. I always assumed it would get some sort of NG re-release, hopefully.

It's coming. And I will be repurchasing it.

Very sad. I'll probably never get to any of these and there are more I didn't list. Born in the wrong decade, I guess. Over 40 now with the whole wife, kids, and career thing. I love these types of games, but they are such a commitment. If I was in my teens that list wouldn't be a list. Sigh...

If you pick any of those games to play through when you get a chance. Pick the Mass Effect trilogy, Mass Effect 2 is probably in my top 5 games of all time, I loved it.

I've tried numerous times to play the metroid prime trilogy on Wii but honestly I can't stand the controls, I really wish I owned these on GameCube instead.

The big ones I can think of that I haven't tried yet are:

Borderlands
Skyrim


I am curious about Borderlands, but I wish there were a demo or something so I could get a feel for whether I'd like it or not before I decide to commit. I feel like it could be fun, but I don't know.

As far as Skyrim goes, I know everyone seems to love it, but I really did not have fun with Fallout 3, and if it's similar, I feel like I won't like it. Mostly, I hated the combat in Fallout 3, and since combat is the only real "action" in an RPG other than walking around, if the combat sucks I lose interest quickly.

Also agree with all on this thread re: Red Dead Redemption - best game of the last generation by a country mile, in my opinion.

Borderlands and Borderlands 2 are fun games, but can get real repetitive without friends or the online component. The main part of the game is to get better and better guns, but once finding the top weapons, everything else becomes shop fodder. It has the usual Diablo style of kill some guys, check loot. The writing in both games won me over. The games are genuinely funny.

As for Skyrim, it doesn't have a V.A.T.S like system. It's more walk up to a guy and smack him until he is dead.

I have a back log of games......truly crazy but I will play them all before I jump to the PS4.....I did not go PS3 till August of 2009....so I am in no rush. I own all these games I am listing too.



I have started many games.....but never finished. I will go back and restart them and start fresh for most of them. But a few games are sandbox games I can just pick up where I left off.

Batman Arkham Orgins - Just started and currently playing


Diablo 3 - awesome multiplayer game as well as local co-op


Skyrim - Currently playing and logged over 200 hours, still have to finish the main quest, Dark Brotherhood and all the DLC. I have only played with my very first and only character build "Moses" a High Elf Destruction battle Mage.....best RPG character I have ever built and love playing with him. This game is remarkable.

Ty for the list. Just now downloading Alien vs Predator on the 360 for $20.

Aliens vs Predator is a really good game…enjoy that!

I restarted Fallout 3 today………oh yeah glad I did. I see myself sinking 150 hours into this one….LOL.

Really cool game. I love the VATS combat system.

Fallout combat without VATS (the only fun part of the combat system)? Well, that answers that question for me - will pass on Skyrim.

They really need to make another AVP, playing the first one now, what a blast for $20 on the 360!
