    New tool for downloading rosters.

MAX Drive is the greatest memory device ever to hit the PS2 or Xbox, but it's no ordinary memory card. In fact, it will completely revolutionize the way you use your game saves and Action Replay MAX codes.

MAX Drive is a USB device that fits into your PS2's USB port, or the Xbox memory card slot on your controller using a special adapter (supplied). Its massive 16MB capacity can store game saves from your standard memory cards for later use, or on the Xbox, used like a standard memory card. Anyone who's filled a card with memory-hungry sports sim seasons or MAX TV video clips, and then found they've run out of space for their new shooter or driving game, knows how frustrating this is. If you're constantly running out of countless expensive memory cards, it costs a fortune too! MAX Drive is the ideal solution. It can hold double the amount of saves possible on a PS2 or Xbox card. Just the thing if you're running out of space – back up your fave saves to MAX Drive and then transfer them to your PC using our dedicated MAX Drive software, which isn't available with any other flash drive.

Storing your saves on your computer's hard drive gives you near-limitless space to archive game saves you're not currently using, but don't want to delete. It also helps protect your game saves against memory card failure, which is the most frustrating thing that can happen to any gamer. Ever got 95% of the way through a top title, only to see your card dump your saves? With MAX Drive, you can back them up to your PC so all is not lost in the event of a memory card failure. With your saves on your PC's hard drive, you can email them to your friends using your PC's internet connection. Imagine having all that flexibility at your fingertips! Best of all, you can also download the latest game saves with in-built cheats from Datel's CodeJunkies server, and even update your Action Replay MAX code list via a PC instead of through a PS2 broadband connection! Also, the PS2 MAX Drive comes supplied with Datel's dynamic memory management software for the PS2, enabling you to crush and expand your files to save even more space. Both versions come with the PC software required to manage your save files on your computer.

MAX Drive 16MB for the PS2 and Xbox costs just $29.99, and is out

Fortunately (luckily, I guess) I have never had a problem with Action Replay--I am extremely happy with it!

Re: New tool for downloading rosters.

Having just picked up an XBox, and being a fan of sports games, my next purchase was going to be an Action Replay.

I am very familiar with SharkPort PS2, but know next to nothing about Action Replay and XBox..

Therefore I am curious.. Will this device be compatible will the save file types that Action Replay is?

Also, given the release of this "Max Drive," is there any reason to not get it, and get an Action Replay instead?

I am buying a "storage device" for file transfer solely, not codes.

Thanks for sharing this find, and take care.

Re: New tool for downloading rosters.

I just ordered a MAX Drive for XBox.

It's $29.99 and shipping is $6-9 depending on which method you choose.

Providing it does what it says, it seems like a great alternative to Shark Port and Action Replay. There are no wires, and it seems to plug right into the console and PC, which is very nice.

                      Take care.
