What is the best ps2 FPS on the market?

Recommend me one and tell if:

The single player is worth it.
If you can play offline with the multitap.

YOu are kind of stuck cause we only have the medal of honor series to work with if you like military shooters. Frontline is awesome single player, but no multiplayer. Heven't played the newest multuiplayer but I know it has it. Some great single player experiences are Red Faction, Half-life, and Timesplitters 2. Timesplitters 2 is great multiplayerr split screen. the bond games are fun to play multiplayer with and can be fun single palyer. Red faction2 has a cool multiplayer mode.

Multiplayer - Only option I'm aware of is Timesplitters 2.

A new game on the PS2 due soon is Killzone. It looks really awesome, better than I'd expect to see on PS2. There are a few cool clips available to download, take a look.

Just echoing what others have already said... but Timesplitters 2 is my favorite multiplayer FPS since Goldeneye. It's made by most of the same development team, so it's very similar. All of my multiplayer is done with the multi-tap, and the game runs silky smooth even with 4 players. I'm not crazy about some of the Sci-Fi weapons, but for multiplayer it's easy to just not choose them.

We have played thousands upon thousands of matches, yet whenever my friends come over it's still by far our favorite game to play.
