Who knows for sure, but the way Diablo 3 did it was to roll a patch out to the last gen game, then you just uploaded your save to their server.

Did you have to still have the previous version of Diablo for this to work?

Well hopefully it doesn't work like that then. I'm not going to rebuy pre sequel for 360 then buy this for one just to transfer my characters. Would probably just scrap the idea of getting it if that was the case.

A simple solution to that problem would be to buy the game used from GameStop, upload the save then return it.

Think I lost my inventory on one of my characters. Uploaded my lvl 62 commando to cloud save. Decided to upload my maxed out siren instead since you can only do one at a time. Then I go to play with my commando and he has no guns. Ugh.

Can't wait to pick up The Handsome Collection tomorrow, since Pre-Sequel was the only one i didnt buy for PC.

Transfer is character by character and you can only upload one character at a time. Gotta pick up pre sequel for 360 again so I can do it. Still have bl2.
