I bought the game with my first XBox purchase and tried multi player, but my brother and I didn't like it so I eventually got rid of it. My new replaced XBox was the special green HALO edition complete with the game, and I found I could customize certain things like type of weapons, Armour-NO Armour,etc. The same Battle Creek that we played and were not too excited about 2 years ago was now changed to NO Armour, 300% health, pistols only (regular-we don't pick up plasma pistols)and the standard 4 grenade at one time limit. I basically reduced it to a meat and potatoes game where a body shot is 1 damage(total of 8 damage and you're gone), a grenade blast is 5, and a head shot is instant death. I know this is a bland weapons menu for the more sophisticated gamers, but we find the game addictive. Are there any other multi player OFFLINE shooters that stack up to HALO? I'm not a Ghost Recon fan by the way.

One of me and my friends favorite games is to turn off shields and play with only shotguns and grenades at Chrion(probably spelt that wrong). but we always meet in the middle room, one shot kills, play to 50 with 3 or 4 people on a team, it's great. There are a lot of variations you can come up with, king of the hill or race with only rockets is fun. The best is simple capture the flag(warthogs only) at blood gultch. the options aren't really that advanced, but you can still think of some pretty good stuff to find games that you like. I know i would still be playing it now if there were no options, but it's still pretty nice to be able to play some different games.Comment
