Re: Anyone getting \"Red Dead Revolver\"?

Played it for about an hour. I really like it. It has a Max Payne in the old west feel. The duels are good, just short, and the Dead Eye (Bullet Time) is really cool. The XBox graphics look very good and has great sound. It's also Live Aware so you can see who's on and receive invites.

I messed around with the multiplayer, and can see this is a game that my friends and I could play all night long the way it's set up. You can do games of Stud or Texas Hold 'em poker, it's a shooting game, but bonus cards are given as you try to get a good hand.

I am enjoying it, but it does seem sort of easy so far. We'll see. I recommend it.

Re: Anyone getting \"Red Dead Revolver\"?

I actually played multi player(Showdown) with my brother for almost 2 hours, and enjoyed the hell out of it. The scenery is fantastic and the gameplay is, dare I say, more addictive than our recent HALO battles. I would have liked an option for just a pure "deathmatch" multi player game, but "Showdown" essentially becomes that because it's a race to see who gets $3000 first and the overwhelming amount of prize money awarded is $500 for a kill of your human opponent. We played several games and the winner was ALWAYS the one with 6 kills (6X$500 plus change)first. You also get money for damage inflicted $2 here $12 there. The twist to the game is power ups cards that give you health (green card), Weapons power up (red card), new weapons (blue card), and the boosting of focus (yellow card). They factor in nicely, but in no way dominate the game-It's still about killing your opponent. There's a lot of walls and buildings to play your cat and mouse game, and the two maps we played on are PERFECTLY suited and sized for two player action. There's a nice recap aftewards with certain stats such as shots fired, shots missed, head shots, arm shots, body shots, back shots, kills, etc. I wish I could go into more detail but I have to nap before work. The "Showdown" multi player game alone is highly recommended and highly enjyable.

You can also adjust to how much you want to play to, instead of 3k. I am really liking this game and as someone put earlier, this is a real sleeper.

Yeah, I missed that EG, and much to my delight you can turn the powerups OFF, so you have a pure deathmatch type of game. I think I've unlocked "The Ranch" and some indian. The great thing about this game is that all these characters have different attributes, usually connected to their weapons.

Yep, every character is different. Loving this game for multiplayer alone, the singler player game is just gravy.
