I finished the first one a few times as well, and after the experiment gone awry of trying to play a Jedi in Star Wars Galaxies, I'm ready to go back to KOTOR. Nothing like busting your *** to get the ultimate carrot in a game like SWG only to find out it's worthless

City of Heroes smokes it, but the worst part was the whole Jedi concept. Make something so hard to attain, and then once you get it, find out that it is not worth 5 minutes of grinding, let alone 5 months. I'll stick to KOTOR for my Jedi fix.

I'm already excited even if it won't come out 'till next year. For the curious ones, Obsidian is made up of developers who've made games like Fallout, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, Planescape Torment etc. and have alot of experience. Don't worry about it being crap, Bioware is still involved with the game although only in a limited role.

Wow. What happened? Why is being a Jedi so crappy? After seeing your jedi avatar on DSP I was ready to go out and buy the game.

A master brawler can kill a Jedi in 30 seconds. A single crystal can cost a million credits. A pearl can cost 10 million. You need 4 of them to make a single lightsaber. Naturally, you can't make that kind of cash on a newbie Jedi. You end up playing your main character more than the Jedi. On top of that, any Imperial (cover or overt) who happens to be rolling by can attack you, even if you're just out by yourself hunting dinosaurs or something. Even worse, the top skill boxes in the "elite" professions take 450,000 points of weapon xp. Jedi xp=10% of weapon xp. The top Jedi boxes are 800,000 each...that's like 8million vs. 450K. That's only to the Padawan box, by the way. It's 9.2 million combat xp (or 92 million weapon xp) just to get 30% of the way up the Jedi tree. It's just an absurd amount of grinding for no real reward. You can't even make Jedi Master right now because it's bugged all to hell.

The Jedi revamp is supposed to change a lot of it, so I'll wait and see. But as it stands now, I haven't logged into SWG for over a month. With City of Heroes being so good, I don't see that changing.
