    Xbox Mantinence Question

I've had my Xbox since launch and it's been working fine, thats not the problem. The problem is that my stupid sister just got back from college and has been watching DVDs on it, but being stupid, she left it on all night and into the day. I didnt notice it was on until about 4:30 this afternoon, so it had been running since 9 last night, about 16 or so hours straight. This is not the 1st time either, it happeneded last weekend also. My Xbox still works fine, but as a result, the little light around the eject button has burned out. This is not a huge problem, I jsut want to know if theres anyway to replace that light bulb?
    Thanks

Check out Ebay. They have lights that you can buy that will be different colors such as blue or I believe you can find the regular green ones too. Look under browse, video games, accessories, Xbox, and then other. Good luck! If you need, I can probably link you to some if you want. Just PM me

I think they're just regular leds. I don't know though. I've only changed the wiring around.

check out www.xbox-scene.com for some tutorials on how to remove it and change it and stuff. I've even got an old tutorial on there on how to change it from green to red. It's outdated though, as now it's way easier to do.

I bought a launch XBOX and it has that [censored] Thompson drive in it. Freezes all the time, gives the dirty disk error, etc. Do any of ya'll know how much it would cost me to get a new (phillips) drive and if it would be doable to install? I'm not bad with computer-related stuff. I can install/uninstall certain computer parts with ease, like RAM, Videocards, etc. Is it anything like that or a total beehotch?

Oh and by the way, wildtar, I wouldn't worry about leaving the XBOX on all the time. I have a friend who it seems like leaves it on 24/7 and his has worked fine forever. I am guessing the burnt out bulb would be about as bad as you could expect from leaving it on.

I've seen new drives anywhere from $40 to $85 on Ebay. They are pretty easy to put in, sounds like you would do just fine with it.
