    Any reviews of the Suffering??

I just saw a Judgement Day episode...and they were both gushing about The Suffering...havent heard much about it...I thought it was just another Psi/Horror puzzle game...but the video they showed had the main character packing some heavy heat...automatics and shotguns...if it is a shooter I may check it out...but Im not into the Silent Hill/Eternal Darkness type games....R Evil is alright...anyway if anybody has some hands on with this game would appreciate some thoughts...thanks.

Haven't played it, but here's what XBox Magazine had to say (I think it's O.K. for me to post this, it's not their full review):

    Graphics
Nothing that will blow you away, but some nice animations on the creatures.

    Immersion
This one's more creepy than it is downright scary - but it does add a level of spookiness to the shooter norm.

    Sound
The soundtrack's pretty minimal, and the voice acting is filthy and fun. It's not nearly as moody as it should be, though.

    Design
If you've played a shooter, you know what to expect. No real surprises, but no horrible letdowns, either.

+ A simple but compelling story
+ Ripping things in half with giant monster claws is fun
    - Not enough challenge at the normal difficulty level
    - Fun, but tough to distinguish among the mass of shooters on the market

    Score: 7.3/10.0

    Hope that helps ya.
