    Sammy to acquire all of Sega

    Sammy Corp. will acquire the remaining 78% of Sega stock that it doesnt already own to form the largest maker of games in all Japan.

          May be better that they do. Assuming the devs (or the whole VC etc) could find jobs elsewhere. Like with MS...

                The artcle mentions that "Sega’s sports games did not do well in the United States, a strategically important market, amid tough competition from rivals such as Electronic Arts."
                I wonder if the merger will have them going in a new direction with their sports games, or eliminating them from the menu altogether.

                  I wonder if the merger will have them going in a new direction with their sports games, or eliminating them from the menu altogether.

                      its not like visual concepts cant find work


                      their ideas will greatly be appreciated by another developer

                      (make sure they put espn in the back of the u-haul as well)
