Cause it definently ranks way up there on my list. I'm only on level 4, so the worst is still yet to come. An amazing game, but brutally tough.

Is Ninja Gaiden worth buying at 20 percent off? The Toys R Us near me is going out of business and every thing is on sell and the prices are dropping like flies. But I wanted to know if it is as good as the back of the box.Comment

good point. some of the NES/SNES generation games were ridiculous. no save points(at least for NES) made it hard enough, but some had a finite number of continues which made it insane. The Ninja Turtles game on NES comes to mind. sometimes they weren't really as hard as it seemed, but you needed to sit down for hours to get through it in one sitting. there was one game that is widely accepted as the hardest ever(at least popular game), it was for NES or SNES, i don't exactly remember what it was, but it had to do with zombies and stuff, maybe a castlevainia, ninja gaiden, ghoul's and ghost's or something.
as for out of the box next generation games, i haven't played one harder than Ninja Gaiden. at least not on standard difficultly level(see the other thread on beating halo on the hardest setting!). the closest i can think of is resident evil for playstation. took me forever to beat that game, the rationing of the saves made it tough(that and the game is just plain hard even if you could save at anytime). i'm sure i am forgetting a game or something, but i don't remember playing a recent game harder than Ninja Gaiden.Comment

I remember that being hard as well, but not as hard for me as Battletoads.I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!
