The time has come. I am going to build a MAME arcade machine...

I am in the planning phases of building one of these things. But first i need to find an old arcade cabinet(JAMMA).

Anyone gone through this project before? THe big thing is finding the cabinet. If anyone has any expierience on building one of these any info would be greatly appreciated.

yep. Just like some of the mame machine projects you have seen out on the net. I just need a place to start. APparently no one locally has old cabinets available.

I have a freind(more like co-worker) who has built one in his basement. I dont know where he found his cabinet but I'll ask. It was pretty cool but I did'nt get into it despite the fact that he had 7000+ games on it. I guess I was to spoiled on the new gen stuff.

Yeah, I saw a thread about this like a year ago over at xbox-scene.com.

the guy put his xbox in there. There were tons of pics and info.

He may have made a tutorial about it but I'm not sure.
