Guys, I cannot figure out how to change the weapons you throw. I have picked up knives, Molotov cocktails and grenades but I have no idea how to select which weapon I will actually throw. I have about killed myself 2X because of this and I have never thrown a knife. Looked in the controller options and didn't see anything. A little help, please?

Hold down triangle and select the weapon you want to use with the d-pad. You throw it with the right bumper.

Still enamored with this game. But I guess not being used to this game style is making me feel like the stupidest video-gamer in the world.

In Uncharted and TLOU, follow the shiny golden buildings. In The Walking Dead, solve the puzzle clearly laid out before you. In Ubisoft games, the marker on your HUD is a good indication as to how to finish your mission. But holy crap Deep Silver, could you possibly make the necessary objectives less hard to find? Give me a glowing icon or something! Especially if my way out is tucked behind a corner or my objective piece is tucked on a hard to find pillar when it's pitch black and monsters are on my tail.

I was wandering outside lost for a good 15-20 minutes a little while ago lol. I felt a bit foolish once I finally figured out where the exit was considering that I had passed it so many times.

I'm digging this game a lot. I had to turn on the subtitles because I don't want to miss anything with some of the accents. Solid game for sure.

I haven't played very far, but man I am hating this thing. Horrible voice acting, garbage sound effects, awful animations, suspect shooting gameplay, and quite frankly I'm bored. And the story, i mean, what?

So I get it, nuclear winter, some survived in the metro station tunnels, got it. So I start out, head though some tunnels, fight some...huh? ROUS, apparently these tunnels run under the fire swamps from A Princess Bride.

Anyway, kill a couple of those and go outside, it's textbook post apocalypse, only snowy. Follow a guy, somebody tried to run me over for some reason, then more ROUS and then....demons? Did he seriously say demons? Que?

Uh, whatever, we're supposed to go meet a guy. Suddenly, more ROUS, dead ROUS. Mand these things breed like rats....oh. More talk, now "the dark ones"? Homo something. WT serious F.

Eh, supposed to go ride on a cart. Riding, have to go down bad tunnel, it's about to go down, right? Traveling along slowly, inane smalltalk, somethings coming, get ready, here comes..... a ball of lightning? Now I am apparently passed out and dreaming of a morlock? Sigh. I wake up, wake the guy next to me, and.....more ROUS. Eventually I fall off, make my way through them shooting guns at me, because no enemies and bullets used as currency, let's just blind fire down a tunnel. So we are safe, and now I am supposedly immune from the thing in the tunnel that knocked me out?

What?

Hopefully the story starts making some semblance of sense.

The bullets that are commonly used are essentially 'cheap' knock offs made in the tunnels, they do less damage and aren't actual currency where as the military grade bullets are, typically you're always using the cheap bullets.

Artyom was always immune to the orb in the tunnel, essentially you only got knocked out with minor 'hallucinations' where as everyone else was completely gone until your character wakes them up.

The tale that's woven drifts between realistic, apocalyptic and supernatural. It does start to get more of a story as you progress, but at the same time, I cannot promise if you aren't enjoying the gameplay that you would enjoy it too much, you could always try Last Light, if my memory serves me correctly there is a lot more human conflict and it's gunplay was better.

Agreed. It wasn't for me either. Funny Princess Bride reference and I see your point. Enemy design can really make or break a game for me.

My main complaint is that it takes way too many bullets to put down the monsters. I know it was a purposeful design decision, but I really don't like it.

What I've found is really the only weapon that is really effective against the monsters is the shotgun.

Oh, and the air rifle is way OP.

Another thing is, I'm playing on survival and there are supplies EVERYWHERE. My ammo is constantly full and I keep having to leave things.

One final thing, the game does have an objective arrow, you just open the compass (touch pad on PS4) and it points where you need to go.

I got last light for free via PS+ on the PS3. I started playing it a bit about a week before this redux came out. I'm not very far into it but really like it so I think I'm going to grab this one instead.

I like how the game give you choices.
