At this point if you buy the game and you don't like it, or there are issues with the game, it's self inflicted torment.

So do yourself a favour and don't buy it, or buy and and take it for what it is and stop complaining. No one is making you buy it or even play it. This was a beta...i still dont know what the final product will be and even though the series has gotten worse each year which is my opinion that im am entitled too its still the only fps out there thats playable imo. I only play Battlefield games (and an occasional game of 2k even that is crap this year too).

I apologize for being passionate about the series and all that i may have offended. I never knew so many people were concerned with what i buy and chose to play. And really there is no stress as i see my opinion struck a nerve. Good thing about it is that its just that.

    Happy Tuesday Mike lol

Okay, I get it now. Some people are only happy when they are complaining. All the power to you man. Enjoy it or don't.

Like i said before ive given plenty of praise when they finally fixed bf4 and had unlimited praise for bf3 but some just want to focus on what they want to.

All good again have a great day Mike. Full game is just around the corner. Hopefully this thread can get back to the topic of the game and not criticizing people for having an opinion

          Re: Battlefield: Hardline (2014)

          Here's an analogy.

          I love pizza. Here's a story.

My pizza place of choice was fantastic like 6 years ago. Best pizza I ever had. But they changed up their sauce recipe and it got a little worse. Now I'm hearing they are going to be under new management and even more things are changing (for the worse). They are still better than that gross *** Papa John's, but it's still not what it was 6 years ago. I keep going back because I just hope things will go back. I think I should just accept that this is what it is now, and enjoy what I can about it. That or start eating Baked Ziti.

          The end.

I was the same way about Call of Duty, so I tried the Baked Battlefield Ziti and have been happy

The love and concern is overwhelming :cries:

I hated BF3 beta too . Turns out that ended up being my favorite shooter just below the Socom days.
Appreciate the love everyone ...my goodness even brought jness out lol

Now can we get back to talking about the actual game maybe ?

              Re: Battlefield: Hardline (2014)

I just wish it was a little slower. maybe 15% slower is the sweet spot, I don't know.

The thing with the beta to me was that it was fun - BUT.

that's the thing, it was good, but unfinished and, for me at least, too fast in terms of player movement. It's like everyone is a decathlete champion, sprinting and hurdling with ease. I really liked the movement speed in bf4 - so I'm surprised people are calling this a bf4 'skin' ... because the feel is totally different.

It's also as I said quite unfinished, and just take a vehicle off-road to notice that lol

and before I get the obligatory 'it's a beta' comment - the game releases in a month! I think the beta is about weapon balancing and bug-testing, not re-writing the way vehicles move and bumping up the gfx in a huge way. I just hope they slow it down a bit and tweak it to behave more like bf4. Now it's quite floaty and lacks weight imo.

I'm not jonesing hardcore for an online shooter now that I'm so into LoU multiplayer (so damn awesome) but for me since I had bf4 on x1 and now that I have a ps4, I'm either getting this game or re-purchasing bf4 ... I'd rather purchase hardline, but if it isn't significantly more to my tastes I may go back to my over 300 hour bf4 starting from scratch because I'm on a new system.

Agreed. We can only hope that the beta was indeed an older build... It's my main fear. Being the 2nd beta and being so close to release, if this is the final build....I just don't know

It's going to be a busy few months for me, but pretty soon my ship is going to dry dock and coming completely out of the water.

We will get a lot of half days and guaranteed weekends except for duty.

I've never been much of a fan of conquest in the first place. But I thought the conquest in the beta was awful. That being said the most "fun" I had was hotwire. I was ok with it being over the top. I'm looking at this game as it's own thing not just another Battlefield. Heist was pretty fun too but it needs tweaking. Too easy to spawn rape when you're the cops.

On my way to pick this up right now. Which expansion packs should I buy? Not interested in extra guns, vehicles, etc. Just more good maps....

Good luck "picking it up" right now.

You can pre order it and get the deluxe edition, that'll give you all future DLC maps + the 3 extra weapons you don't care about.

I'm pretty sure it won't, deluxe will be the same as in BF4 where it unlocks some guns from the start of the game and that's it. For DLC you'll still have to buy Premium or whatever they come up with. And "10 weeks of additional content" is 10 gold battlepacks.

A premium version will hopefully be announced in the coming weeks. Seems we really don't know yet since all they're offering right now is the deluxe edition.
