I feel like I remember hearing people doing something with an extra controller to get chat working. Let me do some googling.

EDIT:
Looks like you can plug a headset into a second controller and join a party to chat with it while playing on a fight pad/stick. Unsure how it'll work outside of a party.

Turtlebeach also has a wireless headset that seems to bypass the controller (optical out?) to handle game and chat audio, but that'll run you $200+ at retail.

More simple solution:

First turn on your Xbox one without the CronusMax Plugged in

Turn on a Wireless controller, Sign In with it, Than plug in the CronusMax and with a second controller Verify it, plug in your Input controller of choice and the First wireless controller you turned on you should be able to use for chat.

After that I would recommend using a back USB port for the controller to stay on otherwise your'll have to turn it on every 10-15mins.

No...how does one do this? The controller is tied to your profile right so I have to have two controllers signed in under my profile??

Here are two things that was posted earlier...all we have right now. If it works please let us know though cause if not i'll just send the thing back and use a regular controller...unless there is a cheaper than the 200$ headset option that works without controller

Well it looks like Android users will be getting shafted on the MK X game on the play store.

It's out on apple play but still not out for Google play and last thing from Ed Boone was it should be out in about "Two weeks".

I may just go online and find a WB account that people are sharing for the costumes that way.

Had a copy in my hands just now. Was going to pull the trigger but pre-ordered a digital version using an Amazon PS Card and wouldn't have been able to get a refund. So hard to resist.

I only have the free version of Killer Instinct and don't really know much of the moves but it felt pretty good from the few games I tried with it. Really hate that I may be sending it back soon. If I get a chance today I may try that work around of using a second controller.

Oh wow thanks that's cool, missed that..no idea what faction I'll go with

@JBH3 or anybody else that has or thinking about getting the MKFightpad, I just did the chat thing with 2 controllers and it does work.

I got the party started with the Xbox One controller and even started Killer Instinct with it. Plugged in the Fightpad in the USB port on the side of the One and was able to use it to fight in Killer Instinct and invited a friend and was talking to him while playing. Had to sign in again with the Fightpad but everything worked well. When I unplugged the Fightpad I had to turn off the Xbox controller and turn it back on to be able to use it again cause when I unplugged the Fightpad it was saying plug in the controller. Also I have my charge and play kit plugged into the back USB port on the One...plug that into your controller that your chatting with so it won't turn off.

Still wondering do I want to keep this controller and have to do this all the time? Just noticed that my controller has PS3-PS4 on the bottom where you switch and not 360-Xbox One...all the other buttons are for Xbox...weird heh
