Finally understand the kombo system! I was trying to time my button pushes with the contact but in reality all I had to do was just input them in. Either commit or they won't happen.

I don't know how I'm going to rewire my brain into thinking like that since every other fighting game I've played has been a bit more timing based.

Uuuuuuugh....I got that tilting one in the invasion tower. Screw that.

Also got one in an earlier tower where the lights faded on and off every two seconds. Obviously the AI is not affected by this, but the player sure as hell is.

I hate the falling heads one so much. Pisses me off. I died from them 3 times before in a tower after destroying the cpu...-_-.

Also for those wanting to gold farm do the invasion boss. Win or lose you get 200-300 gold a match and they only last about 30 seconds or less depending on how bad you get destroyed. That's about 500-1000 gold per minute.

How do you embed your XB1 clips??


I've got a pretty good 32% combo with Mileena. I had 8 ranked wins in a row before I lost tonight... ugh. Did get my first brutality though. With Mileena you've got to run that ball roll special a lot and end the game on it while your opponent is pressing in a certain direction.

I use the Xbox one share software and make the clip. Then launch the YouTube app and upload the clip to it then embed the video here.

That's how I do it.

I don't know if this works for anyone else, but I typically just select a character and either go to the tower or play single fights to practice instead of training.

You can go to the moves menu and toggle moves to have them visible while you're fighting in both of those game modes. I think Single player campaign doesn't work, though. It gives me the ability to gain experience and such and still get to work on learning combos and moves in a real fight scenario. It's also easier for me to memorize them when I'm forced to use them under pressure. I'll occasionally glance at the move list I have up and then stop looking for the rest of the fight to see if I remember.

I'm not very good at fighting games anymore, but I feel like I could eventually be competitive with this game.

Sub Zero and Mileena are my favorites so far.

I did hear my roommate complaining from the next room over saying "This game's just too hard and it's not fun". So if you're enjoying it and you're older, know that a 21 year old dude sucks at it and is getting mad about it

I switched my button configuration on my stick last night, and it made a huge difference. I have an 8 button SFIV TE Stick.

1|BLK|2|INT
3|SS|4|TH

This way block is more accessible and mimics better how the arcade layout would be. Plus, with stance switch directly below block I can do X-Ray's fairly easily.

Tried adding a couple names on this list and they couldn't be found.

Sandman and C The Lyte to name a couple.

Played with Candyman last night, I won twice... he won the other 7 haha

I'm C the Lyte, not B the Lyte like is on the list!
