Been waiting for almost 10 years for this announcement to happen, but the best e3 announcement was made for me with this.

Microsoft has announced it's reviving classic Xbox title Phantom Dust as an Xbox One exclusive.

The reveal was made during the company's E3 press conference today, though details were thin on the ground. No release window was highlighted, but Microsoft described the project as "a reimagined version of the beloved classic with all-new gameplay and graphics."

Originally released on the first Xbox back in 2005, Phantom Dust was a pretty unique offering that blended together cards, action and strategy to earn its position as a cult hit. We have no knowledge if gameplay will be the same this time around, but hopefully we'll have more information as the show progresses.

Yea, I notice it was a remake a little afterwards, but I honestly been wanting to get a rehash of this for about 10 years now

Good interview. Sounds like they might go with a similar model as Killer Instinct.

In regards to that footage: Microsoft moved on from the studio they originally had working on Phantom Dust. They've yet to announce who the new studio will be and the studio that was working on Phantom Dust has shut down.

I just hope the game has NOT been cancelled. If so I'm gonna be disappointed. They say they haven't cancelled it but the fact they haven't announced who is doing it and where the game is seems sneaky to me that they really just dropped it. We'll see.

I thought i saw somewhere that it was still going to come out, but you're right, you'd think they'd say more....

Hopefully they just didn't like how this game was going and want to do it right.

Doesn't look good for it coming back then....Great article, feel bad for the company....

Happens at every job where a client wants more for the same price, sucks for sure.

MS claims they're still working on it. Maybe it'll get The Last Guardian treatment, lol?
