Hunter Axe is really good. I used it up until I got Ludwig's Holy Blade and still do occasionally because the sweeping charge attack is so effective against mobs.

How do I get the parry down? Fighting the executioner and having trouble killing him.

In the house at hunters dream and you need blood shards. 3 shards to +1, 5 more to +2, etc...

Cane is for skill aka dex.

          Axe is for strength.

And I assume saw is supposed to be balanced, but probably favors strength.

Does summoning work similar to the souls games. Where it's your level +- 10% or whatever? I'm trying to summon but it is taking forever to find someone, and I'm wondering if I'm under or over leveled at 22 near the fourth boss.

I really have no business buying this game with the backlog I have allowed to build up and the release of MLB but the reviews are just too good and I'm going for it.

I feel like today was pretty productive day of Bloodborne:
                -Killed Vicar Amelia
-Killed the two hunters in Old Yharnam (**** that mini gun)
-Killed the two hunters in the area right of Vicar Amelia
-Bought like two different hunting outfits
-Helped folks out with Papa G

Honestly, I just hugged her legs and constantly circled around to her back. Only really backed off when I couldn't safely regain health from attacking her, and then finished it with like four straight molotovs. Fire paper on your weapon will eat her alive.

Made good progress after getting used to the range on the whip. I typically wait till they are in range, then do the jumping R2 attack before finishing them off. I rarely use the cane unless I'm backstabbing.

I think I'm ready to take on the cleric beast tomorrow after opening the shortcut through the house. Wish me luck.

I'm desperately trying to help ReignSupreme with the third boss but there's just a tiny bit of lag of Share Play and its killlling me.

All the same, that's the first time I've used that feature and its freaking awesome. Sorry I wasnt a better help, Reign!

                      Re: Bloodborne

For playing offline I made some good progress. Started off making a skill based but restarted and went strength with the Axe/Pistol. Getting the parry down pack but it is hard to time against fast big enemies. Went exploring the sewers and got the Hunter set and sawspear. Only died about 4 times in the last hour and half, and got my character to level 18. Probably going to fight the first boss around level 20-25. Upgraded my axe to level 2 so far.

Loving this game, still find it funny that my friends are saying it trash. The atmosphere in this game is crazy, I'm getting creep out just walking around.

He isn't that hard TBH. Fought him last night for the first time and won. You should have a strategy by now since you fought him 6 times but if you don't Ima help.

I'm going to put in some real time tonight in the hopes that I get there too.

As it stands it feels like I've never played a video game before. I am getting my *** handed to me.
