When I was home for Thanksgiving this game got the most playtime on my 1. I loved it because it was something different for me. I never played any of the other R6 games and have mostly just played COD for my FPS. So that's why I liked it, it was different. One problem I had was like the other guy said there were some issues with the servers and also ******* teammates who would kill me before a round started in multiplayer. I'm considering it depending on who here gets it for the X1. Because I don't want to be stuck with randoms.

Got to play a couple of the maps not in the beta and I really enjoyed them a lot. I need to get a few hours of sleep now, but I can't wait to hop back on this tomorrow evening.Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
I got in around 10 matches of 5vs5 last night on PC for midnight release, 1 Terrorist hunt and 4 "Situations". It was not prime server load time BUT I was amazed how amazing the online ran. Match making was fast and flawless, zero lag issues, and 5 vs 5 online was a absolute blast. 180 degrees different than what I experienced on the PS4. Now I just hope today when I get off around 5pm that the servers are just as stable during heavy load periods!!
Super pumped now! Tonight I will be streaming some PC gameplay, if any of you on the fence want to check it out in action, stop by on twitch instead of the embed player to hang out in chat.

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
I played the X1 closed and open betas. The closed beta had all kinds of server issues, I only played a handful of games. The open beta was a entirely different story. Only server issues were when booting up the game, but once we got in a game it was smooth as silk.
My 3 other friends and I played about 15/20 matches and all were intense strategy shootouts. Sometimes we finished the terrorist hunt, other times we got smoked within minutes of starting.
We had an amazing time and tonight we'll have the chance to play the retail copy since my friends are buying the disc, I go digital.
I did get a chance to play the "situations" last night at 12am. The situations are single player missions that are almost like the campaign, but shorter in length without the story. Having 10 +1 situations to complete with objectives to increase your star rank (1, 2, or 3) kept me trying each one after I finished. I got 4 done, but I went back to try and complete the other objectives. The finish with more than 50% health was a killer. It was so nerve racking and intense to really go stealth to keep my health at 50%.
This is truly one of the 1st games that has me watching YT videos and looking at the R6 website for maps and load outs.
Can't wait to get home and play more.Moderator

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
I thought about getting this, though I was hoping some time with the beta would give me an idea. Instead, because the beta start got delayed, I never even got to play the beta.
Are there any single player modes? Or is this like Battlefront and essentially a multi-player online shooter only? I'm trying to play mutiple games as it is right now, plus I got two more on BF deals, so I imagine my PS4 is too overcrowded at this time. Though if the response is extremely positive I may have to cave regardless.Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
Ok, so that's on PS4, what about on the XB1?
from what I know the XB1 network server issues were about the same in the beta because I seen maintenance windows for them as I was checking the PS4 constantly to see when the servers are back up.
I believe all platforms had similar issues but it seems they were resolving it all and working on them constantly.
the good news is so far today is from my brother who is currently off work and at home playing the game on PS4... he says no server issues as of yet and he is online playing no problem and it's smooth. So yeah we will see how it is tonight I guess. I will pick this up tonight... can't resist. I can't believe a developer would release an online only game with so many networking or server issues. I am pretty sure they have to work on them constantly to improve them. They would anger more people than they already have during the beta with servers being offline and what not. they actually have a good game.. They just need to prove now they have good reliable servers to people
ps. I txted my brother asking again about the servers so far today and he replied back flawless so far.. he is shocked as well because we didn't expect that coming from the beta .. that's it. I'm picking it up after work now for sureLast edited by stevostl; 12-01-2015, 02:17 PM.Comment

I think the retail game has more options for this single player stuff... I'm only talking from the betaLast edited by stevostl; 12-01-2015, 02:49 PM.Comment

Re: Rainbow Six Siege
well there is a mode called terrorist hunt which puts you up against the computer AI bots. You can do this with a group of friends online ... up to 5 or choose to do lone wolf and play these missions by yourself. I was doing lone wolf terrorist hunt a lot in the beta whenever my buddies were not online to play with or went to bed finally. Playing terrorist hunt lone wolf was addicting to me. SO no this game does not have a campaign mode but yes you can play single player lone wolf missions.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment
