    he is best known(at least by me) for the keyboard he invented.

    QWERTY keyboards are leftovers from the typewriter era. The design was made to slow down typing as the arms would get stuck when one typed too fast.

    Dvorak made a new KB design that was faster and more modern, but it has never been accepted.

      I was just about to mention that, BDunn, but you beat me to it...I've never used a Dvorak keyboard though, I would think it'd suck going back and forth, seeing as how I wouldn't be carrying a keyboard with me everywhere I went

      have you used one of these? I don't think I've even seen them in stores

                  Wrong guy there. That was Dr. August Dvorak and the Dvorak keyboard was developed in 1930. This guy is just a columnist for PC Magazine, but he is rumored to be related to that Dvorak.
