After I blew up the tank, I just send my guys down that main street to the end of the mission. I tried to go around the water tower, but kept getting capped, so I tried just going down the main street, and it worked.

I'm on 11 now...getting chewed up by the guys that keep appearing on the catwalks with their handy RPG's...good things they can't shoot straight.

What pisses me off is that you have to cross a certain place for them to come...so after the 3rd time I get blown away I just post my guys with a firing arc right where they appear, then send my other team zooming through the magical entry point back to cover.

This game is more like a puzzle and has its flaws...but the concept is great and I think with the right improvements it could rank up there with the best.

Wishlist: enter buildings (like Army mode), more free roaming, different missions (assassinations, grabbing prisoners, guarding buildings), better enemy AI (I throw a grenade at his feet and I hear him yelling but he doesn't move), soldiers can die w/o the mission ending, cover isn't 100% reliable, etc... I think a Blackhawk Down mission would be fun as well. Hopefully FSW 2 can "attack" some of these ideas.

I agree with alot of those tweaks Matt G. I'm playing on Master Sgt. as well. One thing I'd like to see improved if they make a FSW2 is to improve the paths soldiers take when you give them a destination point to go to. It gets on my nerves when a soldier takes some wacked out path to a destination point rather than simply following the other 3 in single file formation. Sometimes my guy will go around an obstacle into the line of fire when that path was not even needed to get there. This doesn't happen all the time but enough to frustrate me when it does. Great game regardless.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

            Ninja,
My problem is the length of time it takes to get from Point A to Point B. It's like you have to align the corners up just right or else they'll stop short. And if you screw up, the stupid cursor will go ALL the way around the corner. It takes alot of patience.

I wish during the training that they were a bit more instructive because some of the moves are just too difficult to remember.

I forget what it's called, but when you want to go from one spot to the other while firing and protecting your backside, I'm like okay do I hold X and tap A or vice versa, where do I aim the target, etc., etc. It's a great game, but a tad frustrating to get a hang of.

I agree with that too bigeast. Maneuvering that cursor, especially around objects can be a very touchy task- almost like another mini-game. I really get frustrated when time is of the essence like I need to move fast after a smoker has been laid down and I'm fighting with the cursor .

That movement you speak of is called "bounding". It took me a little second to get that down also. I'm also trying to learn how to give people individual sectors(I couldn't begin to tell you how to do it step by step though)
