I wouldn't. Gran Turismo and Grand Theft Auto are reason alone to have a PS2. I only own a PS2 b/c all I play are sports games along with GT and GTA.

I love my ps2, but it's getting less and less use now that the XBox is starting to hit stride.

In general Racing Games, First person shooters, and sports games are the best found on Xbox now.
Load times, Cleaner/Better graphics, and Hard Drive are hard to contend with.
As for online play... You pay 50 bucks to play on Broadand severs as apposed to Free on PS2, but you have to conted with all the Dial-up gamers and sometiems connectisons that still don't feel quite broadband.

The PS2 still has some great titles coming out, but it seems this year MS has an answer for everything - with expection to Grand Theft Auto 4, but that'll probbly show up in the early spring on Xbox anyways.

For instance
PS2 has Gran Turiso 4 = Xbox has Forza Motorsports.
PS2 has Killzone = Xbox has Halo 2, Unreal Championship 2.

I'm sure the guys here have more comparisons.
