Thanks man. It also helped that I used the correct remote for the television. To many Samsung's in this house. I feel so dumb...http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-o...splay-settings

Re: Cities: Skylines
I CANNOT wait for this to come out on PS4.
Unfortunately, my Macbook Pro isn't good enough to run the game (Bought it on Steam and was disappointed it didn't support it).
Question - for those who have played on XboxOne, any thoughts? Did you play it on PC? If so, were the tools as easy to use as the PC?Comment

Re: Cities: Skylines
I have the game on both xboxone and pc and I like the pc controls over the xbox. It feels just abit clunky imo especially trying to place bridges but its easy to get a feel of it.I CANNOT wait for this to come out on PS4.

Re: Cities: Skylines
That's what I was expecting. It really is the kind of game that works best with a mouse (only played it a few times on PC but that's my assumption I guess more then anything)
Hoping I can get into it on PS4.
One last question for anyone on Xbox, are there mods? Or is that purely PC only

Re: Cities: Skylines
I'm on my honeymoon in Europe right now and it is pretty obvious how much this game is based on on European cities. I don't mean this in a bad way, mass transit In Europe is more efficient here than in the US, being over here I realize some of Lynn mistakes regarding light rail and am looking forwa D to making a city that properly utilizes it.
I love This game but I would really like to see a expansion that "americanizes" this game. I am looking forward to coming back home to start a new city though.Last edited by Cusefan; 07-07-2017, 11:26 AM.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

If you want to play with mouse and keyboard on Xbox One and PS4 opt to get the croneusmax. Easier to use it on xbox but its pretty cool.

Re: Cities: Skylines
I'm going to buy this on a console but I'm wondering if there is any reason to prefer one over another?
Since the PS4 version is newer, wonder if it'd include anything or do anything better than the Xbox One version which has been out a while?Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Cities: Skylines
Been getting back into this a bit lately with some of the new expansions (all of the main ones except Green Cities right now).
Game feels a lot more fleshed-out now, like I'm playing an actual replacement for the Simcity series that stands on its own instead of something that's just trying to imitate it. I'm finally figuring out how to work through some long-standing traffic problems with some of the options from the mass transit expansion, which was one of my biggest problems with the game before. It also seems to run better - I'm managing to get above 30 FPS now anytime except for when I'm tilt-viewing solid line of skyscrapers or something like that.
Many of the expansions are on sale right now during Steam's Winter sale (everything except Green Cities, I believe). And the main ones do make it a better game.Comment

Same here. I just started over now that I'm grabbing the mass transit DLC. I still don't have Natural disasters.. Don't know if worth it.Been getting back into this a bit lately with some of the new expansions (all of the main ones except Green Cities right now).

I'd kill for a physical tutorial book/ Guide.
Until then I have one PC screen with tutorials and another with game. 3rd screen for ideas.. lolLast edited by Skyboxer; 12-31-2017, 03:50 PM.Joshua:

Re: Cities: Skylines
Anyone ever make assets for this game before?
I am back on my kick with this game and right now I am really jonesing for a city that is in the 80's/90's. I have plenty of residential and industrial buildings that look the part, I also have more than enough vehicles(I have an issue downloading older vehicles for this game) for the era, I also have enough office buildings, but I lack commercial buildings. While there are plenty of commercial buildings like Walmart, Subway, Malls, etc. that all are on the workshop, nearly all of them are useless for a town that is supposed to be in the mid 90's.
I've got very very very little experience with Blender, but I'm probably going to go ahead and get used to it when I have time and start creating some stores that are more period appropriate. For example, there are plenty of Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald's, etc. type fast food restaurants on the workshop, but all have more modern designs. The oldest looking store I can find is a Walmart that has the mid 2000's design to it.
Fortunately buildings like a Walmart, JCPenney, Belk, and so on are all rather simple shapes so the bulk of the work will be texturing and creating the logos/signs, but it sounds like something I'd not mind creating for the sake of having for my town/city. I'm just curious if anyone here has made any assets for the game and if they have any tips at all or recommend going about it a certain way.
Also, it feels like google has gotten worse as it is a pain to try and just google images of locations in the \80's and 90's for reference material. The majority of links/images I get are for articles that don't really help me.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
