Sony is really trying to get their Blue Ray technology done. You'd need the DVD burner since you'd store all your game saves and download content on the DVDR they use. The idea for Blue Ray technology is that it's a DVD that holds 15gigs of information.

Did anyone else see the article about the PS2 possibly hitting as late fall of 2006. If that's the case then they need to up the hardware a bit since the Xbox 2 will be the same spec, eaiser to develop for, and at that point have a 1yr lead in.

I don't think that's something Sony wants to do and if they're okay with that then they are undestimating the green maching called Microsoft.

Personally I see the PS3 being 300-400 at it's laucnh and the Xbox 2 at 300. The Xbox 2 memory crisis might not be so bad once we find out what exactly they plan to do. Most sites had said months back that they partnered up with a company that does memory card type deals for digital cameras to do them for the Xbox 2... cards as big as a Gig. It would be nice to have a HD in there again, but oh well.
