X box wireless adaptor??
Just bought an xbox and looking forward to setting up live before ncaa comes out.One question I do have for anyone that knows about wireless setups.....My setup right now is I have a computer upstairs with a motorolla modem and a linkys router hooked up.Downstairs I have my computer hooked up to a linkys wirless adaptor and thats how im able to use the internet down here.If my understanding is right...all I neeed to do is purchase the x box wireless adaptor hook it up to the back of the xbox and it will automatically pick up my connection just like the linkys wireless adaptor does? (X-Box is downstairs)Tags: None -
Re: X box wireless adaptor??
Sorry if i sound like an idiot but im not to knowledgeable on this type of thing. When you say run a wire from the xbox to the router are you meaning instead of the wireless adaptor plug an ethernet cord to the back of the xbox and the other end to the router??Only problem with that is the router is upstairs hooked up with the other computer. My xbox and computer are downstairs not sure if they make an ethernet cord long enough to reach that distance.Any idea what the longest ethernet cord available is??Another question you said something about a wireless bridge, not exactly sure what that is....is that a different option other than the xbox wirless adpator or am i misunderstanding?Any help would be a appreciated just wanting to know what i need so i can get xbox live setup.Comment
