Yeah, there were some lulls but I didn't mind them at all. It's not like they were meaningless sceens. Everything in this film was done to advance the story and it did it to perfection.
It's those slow sceens that attract more than the typical Spider-man junkie, like me, to the theatre.
I think that's why I love these Spider-man movies so much. It's not just 2 hours of guys in tights having mega battles. There's an actual plot with real characters. Not too cartoony or comic-booky. It's a perfect mix.
P.S. I wish this game had a complete free-range mode once the story portion was completed. One where you can swing around the city and stop various crimes. But, I would have liked to see the villians from the movie implemented into this and also have mutliple crimes go off at once. This would give you the chance to really see what Spider-man has to deal with. At one minute you could have Rhino knocking off a bank and at the same time some criminals could be gunning down cops in a shootout. Which do you choose?
