A non-descript disc landed on my desk this week. Imagine my surprise when I tossed it in my box and was greeted with the Halo 2 splash screen! That's right...the Halo2 beta is about to begin. That's all I can really say about it. A lot of lucky Microsoft Employees (no external beta testers are allowed) will be able to play the online multplayer. No campaign, just multiplayer maps to test. The main goal of this beta is to fine tune the online components: matchmaking, voice etc. Data is being captured of the games so when it’s ready to ship…your online experience will be the best yet."

I have already pre-order Halo 2, but was wondering if anyone knew if they were going to have multplayer campaigns (without use of Xbox Live) like they did for Halo?

they should. I assume they took the stance if it ain't broke than don't fix it.

I highly doubt that. Read in a magazine that Bungee is being very strict about this. They are getting every copy they gave out back.
