    PS2 Hard Drive anyone?

I don't know if anyone has the PS2 Hard Drive around here, but if you do, you might find this product interesting:

    HD Loader Website

It is a program that allows you to load entire games to your hard drive and run them directly from the HDD instead of the game disc.

Check it out, and if anyone has seen it in action, let me know how it works. Thanks.

So you can install the games after renting them, take the game back and still have the game?
I think it's just another way to steal money from the developers that bring us these great games.
    No thanks...

I share your distaste for software piracy, and with a device such as this, that is the first thing most people will want to use it for. I don't have any desire to deprive developers of their rightfully earned revenue, I am mostly interested in putting that $100 HDD to some actual use. If I can get my games to load a little bit faster by spending another $35, it is worth it to me.

I wish Sony would have a little better support for the HDD (2 games don't cut it), then maybe I wouldn't be forced to seek other means of making it useful.

This is just like Modding an Xbox. Another good thing besides faster loads is that you don't scratch your discs.

isn't this a modding topic, not trying to kill the thread but it might get locked just trying to help out. So basically you can rent games copy them and have them forever for 5 bucks? Hmm that doesn't seem very fair, but I guess its up to the buyer to choose on that one.

I would have to agree with you. I've heard of some really cheap people that use those free 10 day trial online rental services to get a few games so they pay nothing to get them. Sad
