Cleaning My Xbox

Even though I just bought a brand new game in NCAA Football 2005 for the Xbox, im still getting pauses and game freezes. I do have a launch Xbox, but I don't want to give it up or anything like that. Any suggestions on getting my Xbox to run smoother?

Buy some air in a can and some lens cleaning paper. Blow all of the dust out from the inside and clean the lens off it should work like new.

you could replace the dvd drive. manually.

I haven't done it but I'm sure the hardest part about it would be finding a good one for cheap.

Yes, I suggest going on Ebay and finding a Samsung drive. Usually around $50-60. Then all you have to do is open up your Xbox, pull out the old DVD drive, hook up the cable and power to the new one, put it in there and badabingbadaboom your set forever.
