Oh NO! XBOX is Acting Up Again!!!

So I just finished playing level 4 last night in Halo (I know i'm still playin Halo) and it was loading to level 5 and I get the dreaded Dirty Disc Error. I had my XBOX fixed by M$ last Sept for this same problem. I have a launch day XBOX. I bit the bullet then and paid the 100 bucks to fix it. I didnt want to lose all my saved games and music.

So I called XBOX and they said they would fix it for free this time. Wow, golly gee what nice guys. But the problem is I'm getting ESPN today and I cant fathom being without my XBOX. Should I just bite the bullet and send it again. Or should I continue playin on this XBOX and see if the problem happens in other games.

Only problem is I want to finish Halo before 2 comes out in Nov.

Well I know this was a long rant but i cant believe this is happening AGAIN.

Does it happen everytime you load up that specific level or does it happen at different times?? I'd give it a week, that way you can play some ESPN and send it in after you see what the deal is w/ your Xbox. In a week, you'll have a better feel for when the error pops up.

Maybe you should buy a used/refurbished xbox to have incase this problem affects nfl2k5.

It wont let me load level 5 at all. It just stays on the loading screen and then the DDE shows up. This is the ONLY time, game and place it has happened since I got it fixed.

Yea I think your right, I'll just wait a week and see if I have any problems with ESPN,then I'll send it in. I havent had problems with other games I've been playing recently (MVP and GTA III).

So I guess I'll just wait a while, but I really want to finish Halo before November.

Could it be possible that your Halo CD is scratched or something?? Maybe borrow a friends copy and see if it does the same thing loading up that level.

Dude, I'd bite the bullet and send it in. They get it back to you pretty quick, usually less than 2 weeks. That way you won't be without a working Xbox when the NFL season comes in full swing. If you really need a box, go rent one from somewhere while yours is in the shop.

Dude, I'd bite the bullet and send it in. They get it back to you pretty quick, usually less than 2 weeks. That way you won't be without a working Xbox when the NFL season comes in full swing. If you really need a box, go rent one from somewhere while yours is in the shop.
