Need some help with my XBOX. I have a launch XBOX with the Thompson drive and am getting a lot of DDEs even with playing newer games like NCAA 2005. I tried cleaning the lens and all but to no avail. I still get a lot of DDEs...with some games to the point that I can't get them to play. So I thought about getting a new XBOX. My question is:
1. Is there a way to tell from looking at the serial numbers on the outside of the box which DVD drive it has? I know that you can tell right away by looking at the DVD tray what drive you have. But obviously this would mean that I need to actually buy and open the box. I guess my main concern is that I do not want to buy another XBOX with a Thompson drive.
2.How much in trade in value could I get for my XBOX at say Gamestop?
Hope someone can help me here. Very frustrating
not being able to play games or even worse, you are playing a game and all of a sudden that dreaded DDE screen appears . Thanks in advance for any help.
