I'm trying to figure out this whole I love bees conspiracy thing. When did people find out that the i love bees site had something to do with Halo? I don't really understand all this.

At the end of the trailer for Halo 2 "ilovebees.com" flashed up on the screen....that's how it all got started, and people researched who owned the website and stuff and it kept getting bigger and bigger, tons of theories grew. Then OXM put an ad in their last issue saying something about August 24th and Halo 2. Then people matched that with the countdown on the site.....you get the idea......

To answer the other person's question; Halo 2's official release date is still November 9. That(hopefully) won't change, I don't think there's any chance of them sneaking it out next week(8/24) and i certainly hope they don't delay it any.

this game could very easily sell 10 million copies worldwide...its gonna be crazy

I have a good feeling that a demo will be release on the 24th of this month.

All indications and rumours point to this.

I for one can't wait!!

I'll bet it is a multiplayer map or two on the demo.

wow........talk about one of the biggest hype-letdowns ever(related to videogames of course)!!!!! that site was built to hype a 6/7 page preview................that just doesn't seem right to me. the only thing that would make some sense is if OXM is the one who put up that site, they'd be hyping their own product, but to have Bungie go through all that mess for a preview with no screenshots is a little ridiculous.....hopefully there is something more to this august 24th thing.

any videogame store employees know how they are going to handle this launch? everyone I know with an xbox has it preordered at the same store. when EB games shipments of Madden, they get somewhere around 30-50 total for that first big shipment. if Microsoft thinks it's going to get away with shipping that many on the first shipment of Halo 2, they will be in big trouble. people who preordered will end up waiting(and be mad at everybody). it could get ugly, but i'm sure microsoft is anticipating this, i just hope they do something about it. i could realstically see the first 3 or 4 shipments all being sold only to preorders at the average EB/Gamestop.

I was talking to the guy at my Gamestop and he said they are getting as many copies as they have pre-orders, and when I pre-ordered it, i was about #200, and he said that they had one of the shortest lists in the area. They promised to stay open as late as necessary to get all 200-400 people their copies and they're gonna have pizza and pop for the people in line.
