    Re: Little Big Planet 3

Finally got a good amount of time in the game yesterday and now that I'm in the meat and bones I'm loving it.

Just got Oddsock and am in the middle of getting swoop. Will put DA away for a day or 2 to get more time in with LBP.
Love the different/varied "themes" so far and for me it's pure platforming fun.

So far I haven't had any issues with saves etc... Thankfully.

Any idea if this has been fixed? & Is it worth $40 if I have the first 2 (which I know are different)?

Don't know. I haven't had the profile error.
I think it's well worth 40.00 but I LOVE the LBP series. Reason I own a PS is for games like this.

              Re: Little Big Planet 3

I really enjoy the game, but man is it short. I was shocked when I got to the end of Book Three and it went straight to the final boss. The previous games all have 5-7 chapters or so, including the Vita game, so I wasn't expecting a measly three chapters in this one.

The way that the game relies heavily on the community and creation tools for value bothers me as a possible portent of the future of the series.

Did you go for 100% on the levels? That's what I try and do so I'm no where near finished.
And every version has had tons of user created levels which is really what the game is a good part about as it's part of their "Create" series of games.

Some of the user created levels are really great.

Anyone get the DC or Marvel add on levels? I think they are $6, any advice if they are worth it for playing levels rather than creating?

Sometimes I do. The rub is that I play the game alone, so I can't get 100%. I'll definitely replay the story levels, but there just aren't that many and it won't take long.

I've dabbled in the user-created stuff before, and I'll definitely do it this time around as well. It just bugs me that the balance is shifting in that direction. I feel like they may have even half-assed the single-player portion this time around because they knew they could use the community as a fallback.

DC yes, Marvel no. The Marvel pack goes back to LBP 1, so the levels are pretty antiquated by now. The DC pack was released only last year, I believe. (I've only played the Vita version, which is somewhat different. I enjoyed it greatly.) If you like the Swoop stages in LBP 3, you'll like the DC pack, which uses a cape powerup that is functionally identical to Swoop's swoop move. (Heck, it may have been R&D for Swoop in the first place.)

Cool, thanks. I haven't put too much time in on LBP3 yet at all. Got it and Lego Batman 3 for Christmas. Played the first few levels but then started playing Batman. Will be going back to LBP3 after I finish up most of that game. LBP3 seems fun, just as good as the other 3.

Heh, I got the same combo for Christmas. I've probably put 5x the amount of time into Lego Batman 3 as I have LBP3.

The problem with this is why are they charging full price for a game that they themselves did little work on and just leave it up to the customers to create the real fun? This game took my wife and I 4 hours to get through the story, 4! What a joke. The new characters were also just a ploy to make it seem fresh, you can only use 1 of them in each world and half the time you can't actually use them to get around because they can't climb or grab or do anything really other than one special "ability".

They show videos of levels with helicopters and sackboy dressed like a dragon breathing fire, didn't come across that once in the game..... I'm assuming this is user created material that they are showing to try and make the game look more fun than it is?

I played the first 2 and had a ton of fun even just playing the standard story, so disappointed in this game.

For some like me the game is very fun. 39.99 is a good price IMO. I only paid 48 when it was first released.
It's known that the game has ALWAYS been a game in their "Create" series. They've never pretended it was anything else.

Levels have character change booths to switch to a different character but I do wish you could just change on the fly.

I also however prefer 1 and 2 over this one.. but still have fun.
