My impressions so far through about an hour of online play:
Positives:
-Total Conquest is a blast, and really has a ton of strategy. Things happen so quickly, you really need a good plan. You can't just all follow each other anymore, as then you'll leave one or two sattelites wide open.

For those who don't know about it, there are 3 satellites in the level. Your team needs to control them all at the same time for 20 seconds. If time runs out, there isn't a draw, but I'm not quite sure how they determine the winner. It might just be whoever had the most when time ran out, or maybe they use some other stat

-I only played a little bit of the retrieval mode (capture the flag) and it was tough not knowing the map at all. I can't imagine it won't be fun once you learn the maps

-Gameplay is mostly the same, which I guess is a good thing. I didn't have any major problems with it

-Before each game starts, you get however much time the host decides to talk with just your team. It also shows you a diagram of the map, and where all the points you need to know are

Negatives:
-Spawn killing is a problem. I played a Total Conquest game where someone on their team just stood behind the spot we spawned and would take us out with one shot before we could move. I really wish they would give you a couple seconds of invincibility after you respawned

-I've had a few problems connecting to games. Numerous games said they had spots available, only to tell me they were full after I tried to join. I also got disconnected right after joining a few games. And one other time, after the game started it wouldn't let me move. I could turn my head, reload, change weapons, but couldn't move or shoot the entire game.

Other than that, I'm really happy so far. I expect to be playing this at least until Halo 2 comes out.

but if i liked raven shield willl i like this??
i mean i should since the .50 cal is gone, but do you recommend this?..
i badly need a non sports online game.

What one was Raven Shield, the first one on Xbox?

If you like any type of shooters, I can't imagine you not liking this game.

The only thing i dont like is there never seems to be a team aspect.

Everyone always seems to run off by themselves and your forced to play by yourself.
That actually sucks and is amain reason why i stopped playing Battlefield 1942.

In retrieval mode, it is nearly impossible for your team to win unless you work together. If you pick up that canister and are running around with just a handgun, chances are you're dead before you reach your drop zone. You must work as a team to be successful.

you should definately get this game... retreival mode will own you. (watch out for the spawn killing tho)

The solution to that problem is playing with the other guys from OS.
