Pure Pinball
The Tables: There's 4 of 'em and they're generic (not based on real tables), but graphically, they're beautiful. In my opinion, they're a tad too similar, but still fun. Plus, this is a $20 title afterall.
This is a 1-player game only. No multiplayer, on or offline.
Xbox Live: Once you sign in, you can view 'Your Records', 'World Records' and 'Friends Records'. Each of the three categories lists your 'Rank', 'Gamertag', 'Country' and 'Score'. I'm #35 on two of the tables. I didn't notice any other country besides the United States represented, so far. Maybe it was released here first.
Camera Angles: Although there many (12), most are useless when playing. They'd be great when just watching a game though. Personally, I use the default camera angle. You don't see a lot up at the north end of the table, but I'd rather stay focused down by the flippers anyway.
Controls. Left and right triggers are your flippers. The D-pad lets you shake the table (and possibly tilt it). The A button is for launching the next ball. The Y and B buttons allow you rotate through the cameras in either direction. The white button lets you move the 'score box' to any of the corners of the screen or remove it completely.
Atmosphere: You can hear people talking and dishes/glasses clanking in the background, which gives you the feeling that you're in a bar/restaurant/pulic place. It adds a nice little touch. You can hear them better when you're just sitting on the ball and not making noise in the game.
OVERALL: A fun and easy game to pass the time, especially if you are a pinball fan. At $20, I have no problem recommending this game.
Granted, there are great pinball games available on the PC with more tables, real tables, for less money ($10).
I believe there is another pinball game coming out on Xbox later this year that will have real tables (Hall of Fame Pinball).
