    4 Games, 1 Pick help

Got a PS4 for Christmas. The wife picked it up from Best Buy and got the deal where I can pick a game from Destiny, Far Cry 4, LittleBigPlanet 3, and NBA 2k15. LBP is pretty much out for me but I'm having a tough time choosing between the other three. I'm not really much of an online guy so those features aren't going to make/break the decision. I don't mind if there's some decent co-op blended in (sounds like this is the idea behind Destiny) but probably won't go looking for it often. A few questions for anyone kind enough to answer...

    1) I've only played the demo of Destiny and couldn't quite figure out the point aside from being a shooter. I know it's got some RPG elements to it and there is more to it than that. Does the actual game explain what to do any better?

    2) I'm really intrigued by FC4. It's gotten the best reviews of the four games so I'm kinda leaning that direction. I couldn't get the demo to run...I'm guessing that it's because I don't have PS+ right now. From what I've read/seen, it seems kinda like a cross between Uncharted and GTA. Is that a fair assessment? If so, that might seal the deal. I'm a big fan of the Uncharted series but a more open world environment would be awesome.

    3) I'm a sports gamer for roughly 40-50% of my gaming and was really intrigued by MyGM mode. With sports games being yearly releases, is there anything amazing about 2k15 that I should consider or would you suggest waiting until 2k16 comes out?

    Thanks for any thoughts...

I've played 3 of the 4, haven't play 2k because I hate basketball to be honest. Destiny was a huge disappointment for me, and if you don't like online gaming stay away because that's 99% of it. the offline single player is very short. Farcry 4 is very fun, I got it for xmas and played a good 4 hours on boxing day, there's just so much you can do it makes up for the poor story. Putting a C4 charge between two tortoises and seeing which one flies the highest isn't something you should pass on. Plus the map is beautiful.

Thanks, man. It's not that I don't LIKE online gaming really...it's more just that I don't typically spend enough time with any one game to get really good at competitive online play. I don't want to win every time but it kinda sucks to always lose. Plus, with two kids under 6 I don't have a ton of time to play anyway. I'm totally cool with online co-op if it's good.

Regardless, it sounds like others agree with my leaning toward FC4. That might be the one I go with then. Would love to hear someone chime in with some sort of Uncharted comparison. When I read the reviews and see the screenshots, that's what I think of so if I'm way off on things, I'd like to know before passing up one the others.

It really doesn't compare to UC.
There's really no puzzles/mystery to solve etc..
UC is more of a Tomb Raider type game.

Far Cry 4 is an open world adventure game with lots you can do (side missions etc..). Different tasks/completed missions will give access to better guns etc...
There's some "crafting" to get the ability to carry more weapons and extras as well as leveling up your character it different ways.

It simply a blast to play especially when you are clearing out Outposts etc..
Can replay those to try and do better ... It's a blast.

I hear you man, I have a 5 month old at home and really wish I had never bought Destiny, especially the digital because I can't even trade it in. You basically have to play it for a few hours a week to stay current with all the new events and to remain competitive and some weeks I get no time to play at all.

Farcry 4 should be your game, it's something you can just pick up for 30 minutes or 2 hours and still have a great time and not playing for a week won't leave you feeling like you missed out or fell behind.

                Have fun!

No, that's for sure. I think he's dismissing the LBP franchise entirely though, maybe not even have played it.

And as I showed in that link, every one of those games can be had digitally for $34.49, tax-free.

Got my prices wrong in earlier response.

Yeah I wouldn't dismiss LBP games at all. VERY fun and something about getting 100% that is rewarding.
Too many people seem to dismiss it. See a lot of people say they might get for their kids... I love the game and think some who have never played the series look at it and think it's a kids game.
It's one of my favorite series of games.
Get em all is the answer
With BB GCU you can get the disk for LBP for 31"ish (If he has GCU)

I have played LBP1. Thought it was pretty cool but, after beating it, didn't have much desire to pick it back up. Love the Play, Create, Share concept but just couldn't get into that one. I have recommended it to others but it just wasn't for me. I had a LOT more interest in the other three options.

For what it's worth, I went with Far Cry 4.

I am a big sports nut and basketball being my favorite and nba 2k15 is one of the best sports games ever! The game play is very realistic and the graphics are some of the best this gen so far and a very good franchise mode but the one bad thing is in franchise mode MYLEAGUE/MYGM is guys decline at to young of an age and by to much each year.

Since you don't seem like the biggest basketball fan, I would go with Far Cry 4.

2k15 is a good game, though. I think you'd just enjoy Far Cry 4 more. Happy gaming!
