    Gamefly

I paid for a month of Gamefly. For my games I selected GTA V and Fifa for PS3, its been 3 weeks, and I have not received either. The availability for each has gone between low and medium. I feel very ripped off. Will they really let me entire month run up without sending me any games? Has anyone gotten these games from Gamefly?

The point of gamefly is to list multiple games and get them whenever available. With it reaching medium i'm kinda surprised, and since you just signed up I'd figure they'd get you one of them. However, you can't just want one of their top most wanted games and assume you'll get it immediately. I enjoyed Gamefly when i had a long list of games, not as much when i wanted one thing really badly, my luck there wasn't good.

Yeah if you only have a couple games on your list you are better off just saving a couple month's fee's and buy the game you want.
Assuming you are a new customer I would try to call them and let them know you weren't clear on some of the details (needing more games in your que, what low and med availability really meant etc) and maybe they will help you out some how.

I've had about 5 months worth of Gamefly and never paid more than a $1. They REALLY want to retain you as a customer so if you call they will probably refund you if you paid full price for the first month. Once you cancel they will ask you to come back for $1 every 6 months.

Your situation is why I always end up cancelling again. If it came out in the last 3 months or is a mega-hit you will have to wait a while to actually receive it. It's pretty awesome if you have some older or less popular games you want to play.

          Re: Gamefly

I never appreciated the fact that gamefly took so long to process games. I could put a game in the mail on Monday morning, and it wouldn't even be received sometimes til as late as Saturday, and it was the same deal with receiving games. When compared to other services like Netflix that was always 2 days shipping time, it felt a little dishonest and like they were lengthening the time between shipments on purpose. Cancelled because of that.

I've been with Gamestop for like 5 or 6 years now and I haven't had too many issues. I always get new games shipped out to me when they are released and get them in a reasonable amount of time. I think older titles can take a little longer sometimes because they end up selling a lot of their inventory once it has been out for a while. Hopefully you get everything sorted out.

I had Gamefly for a little while and it was cool...best thing to do (well at least it worked for me) was whenever there was a new game coming out that I wanted I would put it in my Que 2 weeks prior and would always get it Wednesday or Thursday at the latest after the Tuesday release.

I've been a member almost 9 years exactly, the service has a certain temperament and it can be frustrating before you learn it or when there are a low volume of new releases (so everybody is trying to get the same game). For the most part, if you don't get a game right away, feel lucky if you get it within the next month.

I'd say its worth it if you live close to a shipping location...When they had an office in Austin, I would get a game in 1 or 2 days...Next closest one was in Kansas City, which would result in me waiting around a week or so for a game, not worth it IMO.

I had Gamefly for about 9 or 10 years now and never really had too many problems with them. I notice that if you don't get a new release the week that the title comes out your going to be out of luck for awhile, but if it's a major release like call of duty they will eventually get second wave of it that week to send out(outside of that your going to be waiting for the return games).

I cancelled GameFly after about two months. It just wasn't for me. I listed 10 games one time, a mix of yellow, orange and green and at one point waited over two weeks before saying screw it and cancelling.

I'm too spoiled with how quick Netflix was. Get a movie Monday, send it back Tuesday, have another Wednesday.
