Anybody getting Fable???

My wife has been waiting for this game for over a year. They've had extensive coverage on it over at IGN. It will be out in a few weeks and it looks pretty cool. Is anyone else here considering picking this one up?

i am gonna wait to see how it turns out. At e3 it was just "there" for me. Then again 15 minutes of playing doesnt get you very far. But everyone is hyping this game up a whole lot...maybe too much?

I have it on preorder. I still havent totally decided if i will get it though. I am having a good time with madden/rainbow six, and I want to try nba live. Another thing is that halo 2 is right around the corner so I dont know if i will have time to play all of that.

I'm sort of in the same boat as TheJake. I don't have Fable on preorder, as I'm not an RPG guy. But Fable really intrigues me.

Still, like Jake, I'm having a blast with ESPN NFL, various racing games and Ghost Recon Island Thunder, and ESPN NHL 2K5 is released in two weeks. RPG's require a lot of time, something I don't have with a job, pregnant wife and two kids.

So I may wait and get Fable on the cheap during the eventual gaming lull that happens every year right after Christmas and New Year's.

Still, the game looks pretty damn interesting if it delivers on its promise.

I'm sort of in the same boat as TheJake. I don't have Fable on preorder, as I'm not an RPG guy. But Fable really intrigues me.

Hell yes!! Did you guys read the IGN preview? This will be my non-sports game until Halo 2 comes out. I plan on beating Riddick soon to trade in for Fable.

If Halo 2 wasn't around the corner then I'd probably get this the day it comes out. I'm not a big RPG fan, but every once in a while I can really get into one and enjoy it. I read IGN's preview of it and it sounds great. That was hands on stuff and he was saying it will give Halo 2 a run for it's money for Game of the Year, pretty big talk. But as it is, I will be playing football game for at least another month and a half, and by that time Halo will only be weeks away, so if I got Fable it would sit on my shelf for a long long time until Halo got old......it's nothing against the game, it does look great, but any xbox came coming out from October to January is going to be overrlooked by many because of Halo 2.
