Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)

Anyone having trouble getting into the rock band store in game? Most of the time it tells me the store is unavailable or of it does let me in,not kicks me out moments later. I have a ton of DLC to download but going through the PlayStation store to do it is extremely tedious, and also won't let me downloaded music I bought in packs.

I've had no problems with the store as far as connecting.

They are getting dlc songs up and running daily because I keep coming across new songs in my wish list showing up as "purchased"

I just went through all the songs and put any song I thought I may have bought previously in there.

I've noticed I've had to keep mashing the X or A button on the "Get more packs" prompt and eventually I'd be let into the store, it's real hit or miss.

If you bought packs, you have to redownload the pack, not the individual songs. Once you goto the back it'll initialize the download for the individual songs.

I haven't played a Rock Band game or Guitar Hero in 6+ years. When I last left off there wasn't a song I couldn't conquer on Expert and now I'm struggling, but Expert's pace is all I know how to play..

I just can't get my fingers right on sweeps or find rhythm at times. I can tell I still have it somewhere, but It's going to take a little practice to get it back.

              1) Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

Ranks atop for sure. It's not enough to just have the GH2 cover.

Would also be nice to get some Alter Bridge songs. I've charted some custom AB songs in the past that... either were my favorite of their songs or I just thought they would be fun charts. These are pretty old now though, and after learning these songs on real guitar I certainly would have re-charted them:

I'm really starting to like these free style solos. Only problem is I consistently miss the next couple notes after them because I get too into it haha

Same here, i did come across a pretty easy option if you want all your DLC back without fishing through the store, go into options and there is an option called restore cache and it should download your songs but it might take awhile

That doesn't redownload. It's to "refresh" your song list in case you have any errors where songs you download aren't showing up. It doesn't download them for you. It's along the lines of a troubleshooting tool, basically.

Re: Rock Band 4 (PS4, XBOX One)

I started to redownload some of my music out of the RB Store yesterday.

There is this really weird issue if you confirm a purchase and don't select it to download, that it will be impossible to find that options to download in-game. Period. If you try and go back to that song, it will say something like "No content found." You won't be able to find it again.

The only way to actually do it is going into the PSN Store and either looking for it via the RB DLC add-ons or by typing the song in the search function. There are no other means to make this happen as of now. It's really strange.

So make sure you actually select the download option after you "confirm purchase," even if it's for a song that you've already owned in the past. Otherwise, if you accidentally back out before that, make sure you write down what the song was so you can search for it in the PS Store thereafter.

I concur with your post about the store experience. I lost a few songs I downloaded because I didn't trigger the download immediately. I had to find them in my PS4 menu and I got lucky at that.

The game is slowly starting to come back to me. I'm consistently hitting 90%+ on Expert on everything I play, but I'm still missing some **** that just makes me laugh. I took the custom solos off... It's just not something I'm interested, especially with songs I'm really familiar with.

It didn't bother me really until I played a few Slipknot and All That Remains songs and the solo was in a totally different tune than the guitar would be for the song itself. I find it a lot more rewarding playing the actual solo..

I miss the old days of me hitting 100% on Disturbed/Stricken on Expert. I used to love playing H2H with my best friend on that song. Now eclipsing the 90% mark is considered a win..

Either way, the game is providing a lot of enjoyment for me and It's sort of fun actually having a challenge fiding my old self with the game.

This week's DLC (up now on both Xbox One and PS4):

                            “Aerosmith Hits Pack 02”:
                            • “Cryin’”
                            • “Dude (Looks Like A Lady)”
                            • “Eat The Rich”
                            • “Love In An Elevator”
                            • “Seasons of Wither”
                            • “Rats In the Cellar”

“Aerosmith Hits Pack 02” can be purchased for $9.99, with singles available for download for $1.99 a track.

                            --

My favorite band so I'm pretty happy. Then I remember that my gaming budget is empty so I'll probably have a wait a couple weeks on these. I want to say I would have chosen a couple different songs, but I like all these too so I'll wait for Aerosmith pack 3. And 4. And 5.

Does Best Buy carry just the game for Xbox One?

I finally got my legacy adapter from Amazon today but went to BB's site and I only see X1 bundles. The PS4 game is by itself but the X1 is only with the adapter for $79 and they are sold out.

I have BB GCU so would like to use it as opposed to buying the X1 digital game version.

I'm a PS4 guy so I don't know for sure, but I don't think anyone carries a game-only version for Xbox One. I think they figure if you're buying the game and not the new instruments, you'll need the adapter so that's bundled in by default. The standalone adapter is really aimed at people buying digitally.
