Do you guys know if the ps4 performance issues are game breaking? I am going to download it when I get home and have been very excited but hearing all these issues has been a bummer

I have the ps4 version, and had basicly no issues. Now and then whe auto save would fire, you would see a slight skips but that was like a second or so. Your not playing a shooter, or fast pace action game, so it has no bearing on the game.

      Non-issue

That's great to hear. I was starting to wonder if I should just wait for a patch bc everyone seems to be blasting the performance of the ps4 version. I'm not too picky on stuff like that unless it's just obviously terrible so I'm glad to heard the issues aren't that bad.

          .... That's what she said.
Yeah....I'm more personally not ok with spending 60 bucks on a 10-12 hour game. With Best Buy GCU I never spend more than 48 for a game, and even then I rarely get stuff new. Therefore I get a game for 30 or less usually, just wait for good sales.

I get it though, and I'd love to play through this....Enjoy :-)

I got it for PS4 and loved it. Definitely worth $20

              Just finished my first playthrough.

              Spoiler

Overall I thought the game was decent, but nothing particularly great. I enjoyed the experience and that's what matters most. I actually found Gone Home to be more of an emotional experience for whatever reason, and I did appreciate the one little reference to that game I found.

I am curious how much the ending changes based upon your dialogue decisions. I've heard it really doesn't make much of a difference, but I'd be curious to hear how people played it out and what sort of experience they had. This will determine if I decide to play through again.

I spend $20 easy on a movie out for two, so the cost wasn't an issue for me. Seems that was the right price.

so far Ive only play about 20 minutes.

                  so-so

Not quite as good as I though it would be when I heard about it in June.

Hopefully it keeps my interest more than the Witness. Which I got sick of after about a couple hours.

                  You mentioned Gone Home.
That game I did enjoy as well.

I've bought my fair share of indies this gen so far and although I've kept an eye in this one I've decided to give this a hold. A couple I've bought in the past have hit psn plus freebie section lately (gauntlet, helldivers) and I'm thinking Firewatch may be destined for a free week too some time down the road.

                        Re: Firewatch

Finished this just now. First playthrough took me roughly 7 hours.

This and The Witness are for sure going to be on my favorite games of 2016 list.

Am about to start my second playthrough to explore all the dialogue options and find a couple things I just read about that I missed the first time.

I think this game is amazing. I give it a solid 9/10. After my second playthrough I'll have well over 12 hours with it which is fine for the 17 bucks I paid.

I hope this game made a lot of money so they can make a bigger, better game in a similar fashion to this.

I only have two small complaints, only read if you've finished it:

I ran across a game killing bug on Day 78. Looks like I'll have to wait for the patch to get to the next day. Bummer.

I hate games like that. its like how absolution ruined hitman- with the checkpoints and crap.

I was playing yesterday and my daughter was screaming, so I couldn't really hear what was being said. And Im stuck in my tower. I couldn't open the door. Nothing would work.
I couldn't use the radio and nobody was speaking.

It took a good 15 minutes and I started playing with my compass and I guess I just happened to look around and spot fireworks. This is when Delilah starting talking again. Then I was able to leave the tower.

Well, this isn't really an open world game. It has a rather specific story to tell so there will be certain things you have to do for it to accomplish that. Obviously you can't help that your daughter was screaming and you couldn't hear, but it's also not the devs fault you weren't able to pay attention at that moment, lol.
