is Black and White any good?

I'm pretty sure it's been out for a while, but i never thought to get it back then...I happened to see it, with an expansion pack for 15 bucks at best buy, and wondered if anyone here had played it...for 15 bucks might be worth it, or is it too outdated by now?

I've heard it's an excellent game. I myself have always been interested in it, as critics have said they really pulled of the whole feeling of being..well.."God". But unfortunately, I've never played it. Though I would like to know if it's worth it as well.

I liked it a lot. A real "sandbox" games, where you can kinda just explore, and mess around. Like GTA, I guess .... but instead of being a mafioso, you are God.

The critical flaw, I thought, was the micromanagement. It required you to be a little more hands-in than I would have expected.

i'm not sure if i'm really up for micromanagement at the moment, it's fun in some games, but other times it can drive you nuts...I might pick this up sometime though, i was always interested in it, but i've kinda gotten away from PC games a bit, games on the consoles have kept me busy

Might be fun for 15 bucks just to kill my followers :y4:

or i can just wait until Fable comes out and then be even more evil than my character in KOTOR

That's the best choice right there. Black & White 2 is coming out in 2005, so I'd say just wait until that comes out.
