Xenon...2005 Dev Kits...NOW
While Microsoft has tried its darndest to keep the whole Xbox 2, Xbox Next, Xenon thing under its hat, speaking with developers over the last week, IGN has learned that the top development teams, EA, Eidos, Activision, THQ, Take-Two, among others, have numerous Xenon development kits and they're right now hard at work on creating the first wave of next-generation games. For instance, SSX 4? That's probably a going to be a launch title for the next wave of systems. Remember that un-named mountain biking game that EA was working on a few years back? Count on that as a next generation game too. What developers are new doing is splitting their teams into the A's, B's, and C's, and going into next year, they'll be putting their very best teams on the next-gen titles. Do we know when the much-ballyhooed system is coming? Once again, we're betting on fall 2005 for the launch. Stay tuned.

Re: Xenon...2005 Dev Kits...NOW
As much as I don't want to buy a new console, I'm really excited for the next generation of systems. I've said many times I won't buy one at launch again, but I'll probally be in line the day Xenon launches after seeing the new sports games. :/ -

Re: Xenon...2005 Dev Kits...NOW
I'm afraid that the next wave of consoles will break the $300 launch barrier. Prior to this point that has usually been the price point. It wouldn't surprise me to see the XBox Next or PS3 sell for around $400 or even $500. I also wouldn't be surprised to see "lite" versions of each selling for less (without a hard drive, ethernet adapter, etc).Comment

Re: Xenon...2005 Dev Kits...NOW
The thing that worries me is for those of us who may hold off on buying the system at the launch, will the sports games for the current gen. systems with the "2006" label all be produced by the "C" teams? Anybody remember NCAA Football 2001 for the PS1? That was produced by a "C" team, and it showed. Yuck!Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

I'm not worried about the Ncaa for the NEW consoles being bad(when it comes out), I'm worried about the NCAA for the OLD consoles being bad, because all the top people will be working on the NEW console Madden, and all the scrubs will still be working on the old consoles.Jordan Mychal Lemos
