          Kotaku gave it a "yes"

i'm going to skip, looking back at my comment of the vanashing of ethan carter it's just not for me. All story without much gameplay. i simply just don't find games as engaging story-wise as movies, and without much fun gameplay to keep me engaged I just won't be interested. If you look at metacritic it's ovall a 77 beat out by GALAKZ currently

I'm sure some will love it though and props to you if you do.

Check out this beautifully written review from Eurogamer:

Re: Everbody's Gone To The Rapture

Put in about 2 hours into the game and I'm all in. I have some ideas of what has occurred and can't wait to unravel what has happened. I believe I've encountered all of the main characters and I guess I'm just trying to piece together all their personalities and traits. I would suggest having a piece of paper and writing utensil and take notes. Remember, the purpose is to find out what has happened and the "beam of lights" and audio files you discover are major help.

I will say the attention to detail about the town is fantastic. Going through the woods I was amazed of all the trees, brook, and other parts of what you would find that was put into the game. Walking through a part of the town I came upon a rainstorm with thunder and lighting. It felt so real, especially when clouds would cover the sun and reappear again from the clouds drawing a shade.

There was some criticism that there was no sprint button and can only walk slowly. You can move at a brisk pace by holding the R2 button down which I found out.

So much I want to talk about and can't wait to compare notes with OS gamers on how they're progressing. Oh, the music is

Re: Everbody's Gone To The Rapture

The music alone makes this worth playing. Coolest game ever made. When you complete it after nine hours. Two things occur, one: a lot of thinking about what you learned and two: sorrow that it is over.

Those who are bothered by not being able to sprint, don't be... when you are finished you will wish you had journeyed a little slower.

This is not for everyone, but for what it is, it is perfect. First video game I ever played where I would change nothing literally a 10/10 the only perfect game I ever played. There are things some may dislike but it is kinda like being at a wonderful place in your life. Change something in your past and you will may not have everything you do today.

                  Brilliant! Thought Provoking! Masterpiece!
Any game review that scores a game over this, does not like the concept. At doing what it does it is a 10. All other games fall short of their goal even if just slightly but not Everybody's Gone To The Rapture.

just my opinion please do not attack me for it and by no means do I recommend this to every style gamer...

Re: Everbody's Gone To The Rapture

                    My only 2 complaints:

                    1. The walking pace is too slow, I know you can use R2 to speed up a tad for long distances, but the default is still too slow.

                    2. Again, for some reason, another hudless PS4 game giving me motion sickness issues. It's odd, my entire life more PS4 games have given me motion sickness than everything else combined. It's even odder that I played through Dear Esther with zero issues at all, same developer, same type of game, same screen, only difference is PC vs PS4.

Re: Everbody's Gone To The Rapture

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was the first game ever to give me motion sickness. It kind of spoiled the experience for me.

I think the issue with that game was motion blur, combined with a fish bowl effect when turning.

These devs need to give us PC like options to adjust these things.

I think it's slow walking speed, fast looking (sensitive right analog), and no hud. I'll work through it, just can't play more than about an hour at a time.

Looks amazing. Looking forward to completing it in a week or two.

Hey guys just a heads up; HOLD R2 to SPRINT. The devs added it late and did not update the controller tutorial and just forgot to mention it to the community.

Played for an hour last night.

Wow man....such a cool title and I am just scratching the surface of this mystery. I will be done within 7-10 days.....but I am walking everywhere, and looking at everything.

Take in the town and scenery and all the mystery that comes with it.

I finished the game last night, already can't wait for another playthrough. It's pretty much impossible to discuss in detail without spoiling anything, I'll only say it's one of the most compelling and moving storylines I've ever experienced in a video game. The score and voice acting are simply amazing.

Take A&S's suggestion and don't rush through it. Take your time, explore.
