I believe they do not have the 3D option on this one.

That's a shame. They did an amazing job with it.

Went ahead and grabbed this for $30. Only played the first one about two years ago. I hear the second game is the best.

Beat the 3rd game for the first time. Got really close the first time I played it, but the first part of the ending frustrated me to no end so I gave up.

Glad I stayed the course this time.

It's been roughly two months since I finished UC1. UC2 has been my primary gaming focus this week as I'm trying to finally clear my PS4 backlog of story games. I'm around Chapter 7 and I seem to be enjoying this so much more than when I originally played it years ago.

It's truly a beautiful game and the graphics have held up well with the remaster. There's so much attention to detail in UC2 and the colors are vibrant.

I finished the 1st one this weekend and wasn't a big fan of it. The shooting controls are very floaty and enemies are just bullet sponges. Started the first few chapter of 2 and while I'm liking it better, I'm still not a fan of the combat at all. Waves after waves of bullet sponge enemies.

I'll probably play through the collection though since I find the story and characters entertaining enough. The voice acting and performance capture is top notch.

It helps if you keep moving forward from cover to cover. I'm not sure if you're doing this, but if you're planted back and just looking to finish off all enemies before moving out, they will keep spawning.

I don't think this is true. There is a set number of enemies that spawn in my experience. But this is still good advice - especially when you get to later enemies who are wearing vests and helmets. Head shots are important. Plus (especially in 3) don't be afraid to finish off enemies you've hit with a couple shots with hand-to-hand combat. Moving is key in this game. Enemies will work together to flank you. You should be trying to flank them.

Stealth is also handy, but I guess that's more 2 than 1. You can skip some pretty intense fire-fights by sneaking and putting people down silently.

It was to an extent in my first experience with the games. I would plant myself behind cover and it took 10-15 minutes to get through an area. Eventually they would stop spawning, but there were definitely more enemies than when I kept trying to advance forward.

I've been moving around. Usually that results in more enemies spawning in from the area I just left from. I think there's just a set amount of enemies that come in, because I've finished areas without moving in a minute or two.

The stealth is a welcome addition though. I can usually take out a few guards before I'm spotted.

The number of enemies and the location of spawning is set. They'll spawn in right on top of you if you're still standing there.

Want proof? Play the water room in the first game a few times and just stand in that first corner you get placed in (if you can survive long enough). When you kill a certain set of enemies, the next set will spawn. They will jump down right on top of you.

It's the reason the speed runs exist in this collection. You can memorize what happens, what types of enemies you will face, where they come from, and the best weapons to have going into each battle area.

EDIT: OK, now that I'm thinking there may be 1 or 2 spots that spawn infinite enemies, but it is very rare. Here's one:

Ugh, I had to play it a few times because I kept dying on Crushing. And you're right, I had to figure out the pattern of where the dude with the shotty was coming from after a certain wave. Then I died after I found out there were like three guys with them haha.

This game definitely gets frustrating sometimes. I remember in the 3rd one at some fountain level I was ready to murder the dev team.

                                Just beat Uncharted 2.

It was such a fun ride. I can't wait to dig into Uncharted 3 for the first time.

This playthrough is making me realize just how much I've slept on this series.
