Can't wait to get on tonight. I haven't been the excited since the return of Socom on PS3.

Played it for a little bit, mostly messing around because I'd never used the AI guys before, had only played co-op. Getting used to what I can get away with (like not waiting for them to get on the chopper/in a car, they just warp to ya after a moment) and how useful they are as you command them to start an assault and you're driving like a crazy person.

Already have some co-op planned for Friday, may not do a ton until then so I don't have to do the initial province a 4th time. Seems to run a little better than the open beta, no hard freezes aside from the initial cutscene.

I freaking hate that. What's the point of a team offline or online if they just magically warp to you. It would have been so much better and more tactical if you actually have to wait for them to get in.

Such a horrible gameplay decision that I hope gets patched!

Wouldn't mind if it did and that only kicked in if they couldn't path to you while not flying.

I don't understand how this game didn't come with Player vs player multiplayer? This is an ultimate head scratcher since Ghost Recon has always had that.

I don't think that's getting patched in, that's an intended feature.

I don't understand it either, but at least it's confirmed as going to be added.

I just purchased Horizon, BF1 DLC, and pre ordered Andromeda. Despite the fact that I'm a tactical shooter fan and spent many nights playing Socom 2, 3, and Confrontation, I don't think I'll get the $60.00 out of this game right now.

It's actually a little disappointing... there are just too many good games and DLC rolling out lately and into the next month.

                        Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands

I give this game an 8. Definitely not as optimized as it could be. Game looks beautiful, but in most place I get around 45 to 55 FPS with a GTX 1080. When ever Nvidia release a driver for this game, it should run a hell of a lot better.

Playing on the hardest difficulty level and I still find the AI to be easy. I wish you had more individual control of your AI teammates. Game would be so much better if you could tell each one separately where to go. Don't like how your AI teammates, usually always be one of them that walks way ahead of you out in the open. Don't matter though because the enemy for some reason don't ever see him.

I find it comical that you don't even have to follow roads. Any vehicle literally can drive vertically up the side of the mountains and over boulders like it is nothing. Game had so much potential, but Ubisoft seem to have taken short cuts. Maybe I am use to playing Arma 3, but I find the controls to be way to simple.

Game is fun though, but it sure as hell no where near realistic or tactical at all. If the game is this easy on the hardest difficulty level with semi decent AI teammates, I could only imagine playing with real people the game would be EXTREMELY EASY.

But hey maybe the game gets harder later on. Do love how large the map is.

                          Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands

For everything I said about the AI and warping, the game is still pretty damn fun. It's nowhere even close to tactical and pretty much feels like an arcade shooter when play solo but it will do. I'm also playing on the hardest difficulty which I'm enjoying.

Now I do wish this game had more polish in certain areas, there's a lot of map flickering going on and crazy pop ins. Hopefully they can get a patch out soon. I'm playing on my PS4 pro and the game looks great.

Now for anyone on the fence, I say hold on and wait a few months, by then this game should get a few key patches which will make gameplay better and clean up some bugs.

I was going to wait to pick this up. However last night I had a couple of hours of gaming time to kill and I was going through all of my games on my XB1 and just couldn't find anything that I wanted to play. I settled on running the daily missions in The Division. However, my boredom with my current catalog made me wake up this morning and say screw it, I'm going to buy it. It will give me something new to explore and play. Now... I just have to wait until I get done work... then wait for it to install.

Was there a day one patch that needed downloading with this on the XB1? If so, how big was it?

Anyone pre-order this from BB and getting out of stock message? When looking at orders.

Turns out it's my local BB... Apparently they weren't excepting the pre-orders they did so I can't play until Friday.

They don't see your teammates, but they have binocular vision if you even peak over a rock from 200 yards away. I feel the same way about driving. If you get a car drop from the rebels it's usually a big SUV, and it struggles to gain speak going slightly uphill off road which is frustrating.

As someone who just started playing ARMA 3 I can see why Ubisoft when they way they did. They have to appeal to the bigger market who wants something more arcady. My friends and I just might suck, but we failed a few times on 5* difficulty missions that we attempted way too early. At least it doesn't take 10 bullets to drop you. I found out real quick you can't just run away.
