Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands (Xbox one/PS4)
Ive been looking in this forum and do not see a thread about this game. The game looks great and was wondering if anyone else has plans on getting this game. Can't believe I forgot this game was revealed during E3. Looks like it is similar to Rainbow 6 : Seige, but with a more expansive open world. This game definitely has my interest since I am enjoying Rainbow 6.

Re: Ghost Recon Wildlands
I still say this game comes out in the Spring of 2018. It also looks to be always connected to online ala Division, but we'll see.
Ubisoft's history has been show a game and then release it 3-4 years later. See Watch_Dogs, Rainbow Six Siege and The Division for example. No chance it's this year, but would love to be wrong.Comment

1) Ghost Recon Wildlands could be a Fall 2016 release but im going to say March 2017 as being more likely. Will definitely be out before the end of 2017. Huge difference between this game and The Division. Ubisoft Massive is the studio in charge of The Division and for those who don't know, their specialty is online gaming and when you have a project as big as The Division, it's going to take time especially when it's meant to be played as an online MMO type game. Better to take their time as opposed to rushing it because doing that means that they would have been better off not doing it at all. Division comes out March 8th and no chance in hell of a delay which is less than three years since being debuted at E3 2013. Ubisoft Paris is the development studio behind Wildlands.
2) Watch this video -

Community Manager for the game has confirmed that while the game is better played as a four player co-op game, you can play the game solo, off-line with three AI partners making it a team based shooter. Think Binary Domain.
3) Watch Dogs debuted at E3 2012. Game was released in less than two years later on May 27th, 2014. Visually, I think the game looked good. Not as good as the debut video but it's amazing how gamers haven't figured out that unless it's an exclusive, all third party games are shown off high end PC rigs. It's been like this for decades and isn't going to change. Game was also a cross gen game so that didn't help but overall, it still looked damn good in my opinion. Complaint wise, visuals was last.
4) Rainbow Six Siege was shown at E3 2014 and released a year and a half later. Don't know where you're getting three to four years and except for The Division, you're way off.
5) If you're going by when a game starts development as opposed to when it's shown for the first time, then EVERY game is closer to five years than two or three.
I'm hyped and pumped for Wildlands and everyone here knows I love Ubisoft but they get way too much hate when there's other publishers that have done the same or worse yet get a pass every damn time. Their open world games do have a similar formula and setup but no other publisher in the industry releases as many good open world games as they do. And it's not even close.
Back to Wildlands, im sure that they will show off more at E3. Knowing I can play it as a team based shooter and you can explore on your own if you want to during and in between missions puts it high on my list. Yeah, it looks great but anyone who thinks that it will look like that on inferior consoles is seriously dazed and confused. As for right now, Ubisoft is focusing on The Division which is what they should be doing.Comment

I haven't played a Tom Clancy game in awhile, but I'll be keeping an eye on this and The Division. Might have to watch some streams of them when they come out to decide on which one I want.NFL: Bills
