This is probably my favorite non-sports game this gen.

Single player is really good and coop is a lot of fun. If you like realistic military shooters then you will like this game. There is a lot of strategy involved. You can go stealth or guns blazing, but stealth is more rewarding.

There are tons of weapons and attachments and they all feel different.

          Just one man’s opinion.
I don’t actually care about any of this.

If you like stealth or third person go with Wildlands. Everything else Far Cry 5. Not saying u can’t play a stealth style in far cry cause you can too. As a owner of both and after beating Wildlands I recommend Far Cry 5. Wildlands is okay not a bad game but Far Cry is just a better game in my opinion. Better story, less repetitive and more stuff to do. It’s just my opinion. Just so u know I’m not speaking out my *** here’s proof I own both games.

Get Far Cry 5 it’s a better game by far. Just my opinion. Ghost Recon Wildlands is repetitive and it’s so easy with the chopper.

I totally get why you would like Far Cry more. The games are very different. I just got Far Cry today and love it. But still like Wildlands more. But like you said it's a matter of opinion.

I would recommend trying both if you can only get one.

I haven't gotten Far Cry 5 yet, but I'm fairly certain that 'll dig it when I finally do. One thing that doesn't get talked about often when discussing Ghost Recon is what a great job they did with the whole cartel lore. I look forward to unlocking the videos very much. Those little extras really go a long way for me.

Yeah, the game is kind of repetitive, but I almost look at it as more of a strategy game than a shooter a lot of times. I play in a stealth manner as much as possible, so it's always about how I can attack each area with the least amount of conflict. There's a lot of variation in how the bases are constructed, so that aspect is very enjoyable to me.

I use my drone to mark everyone, then I try to snipe all the people in the towers. Then work on the guys I can get from an elevated position if possible. I'll use sync shots to get guys close to each other. Then I try to get in and get what I need.

Agree about the base construction. Makes it fun to come up with new ways to approach each one.

Also your AI teammates seem to do a good job helping you out.

Is the combat essentially confined to the bases or are there random skirmishes? Are there outposts in addition to the main base for each region?

There are random skirmishes. Sometimes cartel members are will attack you from cars they are in, or they are on the side of the road and will attack you. There are also little areas that are just randomly there where you will run into enemies.

Also you have to be aware of Unidad choppers flying around. They will attack you out of nowhere.

I just wanted to add that if you have a One X and a PS4 Pro get this game for Xbox. It runs at a higher resolution than PS4 Pro I believe. It looks a lot better. Textures are more detailed. I think it runs at a steady 30fps on both systems though.

I have it for both systems. Got it on PS4 first then when I got my One X I got it on there because of my friend who has it for Xbox. We have some amazing coop sessions!

                              enjoy
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
