Thought I wanted no part in this game, kind of forgot about it just to see some videos popping up..man, now I really want to dive in and see what it is all about and why the machines have taken over.

This game is supposed to be the proverbial Sony poster child for the PS4 Pro. It was built from the ground up to be a PS4 Pro system seller. So yeah...lol

With that being said, sort of disappointed there is no 4K theme for this game for those of us who preordered. The regular theme is ok but I want a 4K theme.

Not entirely correct, it was still built for the base PS4 but enhanced for the Pro. It's getting it's big Pro patch day 1. It's a Guerrilla game so it's obviously beautiful and everyone just puts it as the first big Pro game. It looks stunning on both consoles, the Pro looks better from all accounts though. For the Pro, it just has full checkerboard rendering which makes it look great on a 4K set.

There isn't a "huge" difference in the performance of the PRO and Regular versions according to DF and others

I'd be very surprised to see many games run better on the PS4 pro, meaning if they're goal is 60 FPS, it'll be that on both.

With that said, the graphics will obviously be the big differences.

That's just my guess. I have no idea really lol

It was noted on benchmarks that the regular version had very little framerate drops, the PRO had nearly none. I don't think it's that much of a difference and most will never notice it.

Finally broke down and pre ordered this morning. Should be a great ride. Really looking forward to it.

Probably my last purchase until September or I beat this.

I was talking more about how it looks in 4K than performance. I'm sure it runs acceptably on a regular PS4.

I took the plunge and preordered as well. I hope I don't kick myself for not getting the digital delux. Looks like u get more weapons and costumes with that version

I almost did the digital deluxe as well, but I felt as though I wanted to start off with as little advantage as possible.

So I just recieved a notification Best Buy delivered Horizon: Zero Dawn a day early. Still unsure if I want to keep or return it. I kinda want to open it when I get home, but have a Switch and Zelda coming on Friday.
